Can anyone tell me how to catch after the ball is snapped or in the air when you pass I am a big fan of user catching but when I pratice I can not take over the receiver and make the catch. In the books it states that you press R1 to catch a pass or intercept Ive tried this and I can get the user controlled receiver to catch the ball any help would be appreciated. I play on the PS3 Version can any one help

Well first off, you need to press the "B" button after the pass is released to take over control of the intended receiver. Manually move your player in position to catch the ball and press the "Y" button to make the catch. Atleast thats what I was doing last night in practice.
I also finally discovered how to lead a receiver and man do you have some control over where the pass goes!!!! At first, this was a complaint of mine about the game but not any more. Basically you can influence the direction of the pass by moving the left thumbstick in the desired direction. You have to do this immediately after releasing the receiver button and before the QB throws the pass. You can see him start the throwing animation after you release the pass button. In that micro second of time, push your left thumbstick to influence the pass direction. Go into practice mode and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Just an FYI in case you did'nt know this. I dont think this was covered in the manual.
This has really brought new life to me on offense...WOOT !!!

Leading the passer is in the Manual about using the left stick if you want more controll press for PS3 push R3 at the controller screen when you are picking your side and press down on the R3 it brings up Maxim passing and this can really lead your receiver pratice this 1st using maxim passing beacause you will over throw a lot until you get use to it.
