agreed and done. NFL.com has it all. Birthdays, colleges, height, weight. I tried to make mine as realistic as possible by looking up their key features and what makes them a good player. you know, like clinton portis with workhorse. or jason campbell with that quick high release

I just played a guy ( not in our league) with the Colts. VERY REALiSTIC.

He scored 21 on me...we were tied at 21-21 in OT...Then I won the toss and won 27-21.
Here are some stats.

Manning-14 for 26 for 200 yards and a Rating of 79 no ints or no tds 1 rushing td
Harrison-2 catches for 45 yards
Wayne-6 catches for 81 yards
Addai 14 rushes for 112 yards and 3tds
Dallas Clark 1 catch for 17 yards

Defensivley I allowed 16 rushing yards and 219 passing yards.

Pretty good representation I say.

hey commish be sure to make sure you kick xtha kidx from the league. He is not using created players, he is using all prexisting legends which will give him an enormous advantage

also my Saints team is made up entirely of saints players, it is just that if you enter a name that is not in the database the game does not pick it up. On my screen I see duece Mccalister, but on urs u will just see duece because that is the only part of his name that is in the database. It was also th esame for you, on your screen you saw santana moss, but on mine all I saw was Moss

Jue is still on the team but he is going to be a back up SS at best. Eric Weddle or Clinton Hart will have the starting SS job. As for Rivers being a Silver, I think that Leadership bonus and laser arm most accurately describe him but a bronze can only have one of those, so I made him a silver.

Thats stupid, NFL teams use hurry up all the time in the 1st quarter and they also go for it on fourth down when out of field goal range but too close to punt, even if they are in the lead. But if someone abuses it too much, then it should not be allowed.

I think hurry up should be allowed in the 1st half but not excessively. Same thing with going for it on 4th. If I'm 4th and inches and at your 36 yard line and the game is still in question, I'm going to go for it. As long as people use it occasionally to change up the pace of the game and keep the defense guessing then thats fine with me.

2 point conversions should be allowed if your losing by 8 or more. I.E. If I'm beating someone 21-10, they should be allowed to go for 2 and make it a 3 point game at 21-18. OR if the score is something like 21-16 in the 4th quarter. If I have 16 points and you have 21, I'm going to go for 2 and make it 24-21 so you have to get a field goal to tie. Any NFL coach would do this.

I think a lot of teams use the no-huddle early in the game...not so much the hurry up. I think you should be able to use the no-huddle early in the game BUT you have to give the defense a chance to call call their play (exception being the last 2 min of the half)....no quick snapping trying to catch them out of position. In the 4th qtr or behind in the 2nd half....the hurry-up should be fair game.

As for 4th downs, i agree on not being able to go for it in the 1-3 qtrs...with a few exceptions, but not in your own territiory (except when behind in the 4th). I think the only exceptions in the 1st half should be 4th & 1 or less inside the opponent's 40.

We need to implement NFL Rules as much as possible. And NOWHERE in the NFL rules does it specify when you can huddle or no huddle. I've seen teams like CIN or SD no huddle on the first drive. If your opponent does not have the right personnel out on the field, then your offense should be able to exploit it if they so desire. There is a thing the defense can do. It's called AUDIBLISE....or call a time out.

There's one thing that Madden had that I wish 2k would have put in. When you hurry up in Madden 06/07 PC your chances of penialties would increase as well as the chance of your play success unless it was warented also I wish they had put in the fair play rule...that would stop alot of this expolitation of doing something you should be able to do however there should be consequences for the offense...most times it's just against the defense...

since those things are not there let the league admins figure out how to make it work and lets play and have a good league. It can take just one person to mess up a good time for us. Alot of us have taken the time to do uniforms research players, work with playbook etc. in hopes that we will have a fair play league.

I suggest that if a person is suspected of playing and using exploits that they are reported and it is up to the League Commissionor to put together a governing body that will vote on league expeltion after the person is found guilty of using exploits has been warned and continues to do so.

Running the ball and Passing are not exploits...you must learn how to stop that. 4 flee flickers a game is...etc

sorry to butt in to your conversations guys, but can i tell you what i think about the debate you guys are having regarding rules?

i believe that there is a scenario to use all these plays during the game. at different times.
i think as long as you can give a satisfactory reason as to why you chose to use a certain play then it should eliminate any disaggreements.
maybe have a section on your league page or something devoted to that.
if someone still does not like the reason given, then it should go to the commish for aribitration, with his ruling on the matter as final.

That's really not fair because everyone else will have 3 ability players. Especially since Portis isn't even that great of a back, IMO.

That's kind of my thinking. I thought we were gonna have a fair league:confused: Stuff like that gives others an unfair advantage. I mean if you play and earn those things thing maybe you should be elite and have a great player...kind of like working extra hard in the weight room...but what your suggesting is like taking steriods

I think you might want to remove this post...gives opponents too much info about your team...they should still have to figure it out. I'm looking into a way right now for admins to check suspected cheesers (cheaters) personel if the question arises

Yeah I made Lawerence Taylor and I wish I could have done 5 achievments...so I understand...I just hope no one uses it to exploit league play...Thats what this game has going for it...you know a made up 7 foot WR with 5 abilities

You do have to do it individually, and would take entirely too long for ALL of us to get them. Maybe once the games been out awhile and tons of peeps have got all 50 achivements you will most likely see 5* leagues.
