No Campus Legend Mode or Release Date? SEE YA!

I have been a very loyal 2K sports fan since the get-go.

I bought NCAA Football 2k8 from EA.

Let me begin by saying, they have taken college sports to the next level!


College Hoops 2K8 is shooting itself in the foot in my eyes with the following:

1) No release date. March Madness is set to come out 1/30/08. College Hoops 2K8 could save itself by coming out earlier.

2) Their Campus Legend mode alone was worth the cost of the game, and I dont even care for football all that much. "All-New Campus Legend Mode—Go from a star in the high school state playoffs to a highly touted college underclassman trying to earn a starting position—you can also fastforward through any play in which you’re not participating. "

The only other place this mode is available is at www.simsportsworld.com

If they come out with it for March Madness and 2K sports cant counter in any way (I never thought I would say this), but I am going to be buying March Madness. The mode is flat out amazing.

3) It just doent seem like 2k sports cares. I have been reading these forums and read all the suggestions customers offer and have even offered many myself. They are pretty much ignored.

Please counter the Campus Legend mode somehow, it is just too good. Your sales are going to plummit if you do not. All-time teams- I am a diehard Kentucky Wildcats fan and would kill for an ALL-Time version. YOu have stupid teams like 1986 Loserville and 1986 pUKe, 1987 Indiana and 1987 SyraSNOOZE, and many others- but the single greatest game ever: 1992 UK vs 92 pUKe- you do not have 1992 Kentucky. MAKES NO SENSE!

DO SOMETHING! CONSUMERS ARE WAITING FOR SOME SORT OF NEWS!

Wow, people really get caught up into modes. Well, you can play March Madness, but I'll enjoy another year of what is sure to be rated as the best BBall game again this year.

have u ever played the Campus Legned mode? it has to be the biggest and best feature ever. I like the footbal game just fine, but basketball video gamin is where it is at!

I want a mode where u can play as a student athlete in HS and play in the AAU tourneys and such- then get recruited by diff schools.

That's nice, sounds like a cool mode, but if the game is no good (like last years EA basketball games), then the mode is worthless.

I also own NCAA Football 2008 and Campus Legend is a great feature, but I'm still going with CH2K8 with or without a simular mode.

At the end of the day 2k makes a better playing basketball game and that's the key for me.

I agree- gameplay won't be beat. 2K owns the market. Their on-line play is also unrivaled. I like to play dynasty mode and the Campus Legend mode, but my day isnt done until I have played some ONLINE.

I have tried playing NCAA Football online and it is just a hastle.

Bottomline- College Hoops 2K7 almost never gets ejected. Sometimes I wonder if I bought my ps3 just to play it.

Your right, I do not have a lot of patience. I love 2k7 so much I wish they would just give us somethign for 2K8. I am back here daily just to catch a glimpse.

PLEASE 2K SPORTS, GIVE ME SOMETHIGN TO LOOK FORWARD TO!

p.s. I am huffing and puffing. If they do not come out with something to match EA Campus Legend, I might buy both. I will just kick back and play some www.simsportsworld.com until I hear more (GREAT GAME- if you havent checked it out, you should)!

I play the hell out of CH2k7 to this day. Maybe 2k will take it to that next level and add some great features. I would love to see some AAU ball. Hell, they could use a AAU mode to start a campus legend type mode.

Tear up AAU or summer camps and watch the scholarship offers come in.

I'm with you on this one. I been at it since 2k3 which came out in December. After that, they all came out around the end of November.

I'm just saying it would make the game even more outstanding if they added the campus legend mode. To make it different change the name to All-American mode.

Add a mode called All-American mode on college hoops where you take one player through his college years as you try and make him an All-American. it needs to be real life play. The camera is all ways on him. On the court and off the court. He doesn't start atimatically. He has to work for a starting position. You have to attend every team practice. Do drills, play five on five, whatever the coach has you to do. When in gameplay you play as only him, nobody else. If you in the game and you substituted out of the game then then computer plays until you get back in. Since the computer is all ways on him in gameplay i want to hear player chatter on the court. It's not possible you are going to be drafted to the NBA. That's why you have to work hard.

I agree! I messed around with this mode for a few minutes and could have went any where. Hell, I lost in the first round of the HS playoffs.

Yea, and I want the recruiting part to be more realistic. I want you to get offers from every local school if great.

Campus legend works pretty well if your player is a QB. Since you cannot control any other players, and you cannot control the play calling, this mode is very limited.

For example if you create a RB and your offense passes the ball or falls behind, you can forget about running the ball during the game (unless you audible at the line - yeah!).

If you create a player on offense, then you will not receive the option of playing defense. If you create a player on defense, then you will not receive the option of playing offense.

So this mode in theory is nice, but is very limited in play.

I DO LOVE THE SAVE ANYTIME DURING A GAME FEATURE THAT EA HAS THOUGH.
