I haven't gotten 2k8 yet, but I do plan on it.
But I was just randomly thinking about 2k not having the NFL license and all that bologna. Then I thought back to my old Madden days on the SNES, when the game came with about 10 inserts that had the players numbers and their attributes, but no names or real teams because of the lack of license. To see how good your running back was you had to dig through the fronts and backs of those cards, and follow along the gridlines to see what the guys SPD was.
Maybe next year, if they don't do legends again, we can have a little flash back to the past when we werent spoiled by real players and teams. Just numbers were sufficient, or like my big fake bombers in the original bases loaded, Paste and Bay.
