Plant your feet before you throw the ball.

All of the above and please more descriptive with your question considering there are many types of throws you could be talking about.

Check your QB abilities see if he or she has a charge up ability to make the pass zip or provide a quicker release.

But all of the advice given so far hits the issue right on the money.

i've also found a passing delay when trying to perform roll out passes (which i love in this game) or scrambling with QB's who are Pocket Passers....like Kosar. i'll go to throw on the rollout and there seems to be a little bit of delay leading to frequent sackages.

if this is a problem for you, perhaps choose Scrambling QBs as they get rid of the ball faster (unless you're throwing a bomb dow the field). then, no matter what, they're going to need to plant and go thru that big windup.

hope this helps.

I've had a ton of success with Dave Kreig.

From wikipedia:
"Despite his "journeyman" status, Krieg should also be regarded as one of the most prolific passers in the game's history, as he ranks among the all-time top 15 in most passing categories."

# Ranks 10th in NFL career pass attempts (5,311)
# Ranks 10th in NFL career completions (3,105)
# Ranks 11th in NFL career passing yards (38,147)
# Ranks 10th in NFL career passing touchdowns (261)

He's also capable of running the ball, but he fumbled quite a lot in his pro career, so I'm a bit concerned that he'll fumble in the game as well, so I keep him in the pocket.

yeah...how does the signal stealer work? pretty cool?

how often can it be used? not every play i'm sure, right?

thanks.
