Come across this cheese?

I was playing this weekend and feeling good about having been cheese free when the guy i was playing started setting up to kick off regular but would manipulate the arrow to do a weird onside kick thing out of a regular formation that my guys were never able to recover. They would bobble the ball and then stand there looking at it on the ground till one of his guys dove on it. He did this twice. I had to come back to take the lead and luckily never let him score again to do this but i think he would have been able to recover the ball more with this tactic. Anyone else get this? I hope it doesnt become a trend.

Question. After the first time did you try and protect yourself by controlling one of your front guys in case he did it again?

yeah i did but the ball bounced off the guys hands and it wouldnt let me jump on the ball or pick it up. the guys just stood around it but wouldnt do anything.

I've seen this happen a few times to me in a slightly different way. The ball would just stay inside and my guy would grab it and I could not get him to run down the field, he would always just go out of bounds regardless of how I had the stick to keep him in. He just had a life of his own and would go out of bounds.

Yup, seen it, but it's in every football game.

I played a guy who did it in NCAA 07 just the other day.

It's a shame, it's just a fault of football games in general I think.

While controlling the player, did you press Y to pick up the ball? If you didn't, the ball will bounce off of him.

yea i played someone online that would kick the ball with no height at all just a straight line and one of the fat guys will end up with it, i got him once thought i lateral the ball and and took it to the house. freaken cheeser, i cant stand them
