I started off with a generic QB when I first put the game in back at launch. I threw about 10 passes with him before I decided to put him down and pick up a gold QB (Warren Moon is the freakin' man). My offensive attack is pretty balanced. I like to run the ball, but I find myself using screens and short passes just as much or maybe even a bit more than running the ball.
Moon has been my golden boy. With Herman Moore as my go-to-guy in the air, my passing attack is everything I need it to be. I just can't really tell yet if it is worth the investment of a gold star pick. Its a tough decision. I have to have a QB that won't let me down, and I would say out of the 8,000+ yards he's gotten me, he's thrown less than 10 bad passes
I remember being fed up with my generic after trying to throw the ball about 30-40 yards and it was no where near its target. Maybe I gave up on him too soon. So I ask... anyone using a generic QB for those 3-10 yard gains in the air with success?
