When I think of a HB to get for my team I usually think Barry Sanders or Payton, however last night I played a guy who was using Ottis and he gave me a beating with the guy. This was the only time I've seen anyone playing with him.
So naturally after the game I tried him out and man, he works much better for me then barry/payton. I'm not so good at all the fancy juking/spinning, etc so this guy works out great because instead of having to do all of that you just freaking plow through the guys

man i think the game is designed to be so deep that if you learn how to use all the player, they can all be a beast. I think so far although i havent played online just offline with family but big Earl is so easy to use and just run over ppl. I think as the game ages you will see ppl stopping earl and using the other legends. I use Thurman Thomas and he can hold his own in my offline season, plus he can play the slot. Just give the game time.

FINALLY! I've been waiting for someone else to come out and show love for Ottis Anderson. I originally used Barry on my team and loved him (he is my favorite football player of all time), but I wanted my two gold picks on defense, and I noticed that a ton of people use him online.
I gave Ottis Anderson a shot and never looked back. The man is a freakin' ox. I put Joe Delamielleure(sp?) that silver guard on my team, and I just run behind him all day. People just bounce off of Ottis like nothing, and with his workhorse ability, by the 4th quarter he's breaking 4-6 tackles up the middle and taking it to the house every other run. I love it.

Anyone try out Curt Warner? He's not that bad of a back.

I always use ottis anderson and curt warner. Earl Campbell sometimes, he's the beast brother of Ottis Anderson.

Curt Warners good. The only gold backs I've tried are Barry and Payton.

Ottis Anderson is honestly a much maligned player in the NFL, remember he did lead the Giants over the Bills in the super bowl with over 150 yard rushing.

Ottis is one of my favorite giants. And I plan on making me Giant legends soon. Than being said, there are better values in the bronze tier.

So he is a bronze star? I can't check right now because I'm at work. I might have to check him out when I get home. I don't know much about him except that he broke one or two of Chuck Foreman's records at U of Miami.

I use Marcus Allen cuz he works well in my Patriots style pass offense and the silver RBs suck other than Craig, I might check out ole Ottis though, best non gold RB is definitely Okoye

Now your talking some crap you can't back up, I'm using Chuck Muncie and he is a silver and I havent seen a gold RB good enough for me to let him go and lose a gold pic. Only other RB with arms of steel and branching tackles is Emmit Smith.

I agree with you about the silver RBs being sorry. I had a one-two punch duo between O.J. Simpson and Chuck Foreman and it seems like Foreman was only good for short yardage situations. Its messed up because I'm related to Foreman by marriage and he's a hometown hero around here and I want to represent him, but can't seem to do much with him. Maybe I just need to practice more with him.

I've played against him and he is a tough guy to bring down. Same with Snell.

I used CW since he's north / south and a workhorse, with great results. Experimenting with other backs, now using Chuck Muncie who is another beast. I just wish he had goggles.
