Is APF2K8 really worth its money? Im asking because im going to get this game tomorow so im asking you all what are your thoughts on the game what would you rate the game and should I buy it?

To me, it's really worth the money.
Sure no franchise, but I'm getting my money's worth just by editing my team and playing online---this game is real fun. If you're looking for franchise this doesn't have that, as I'm sure you know, but there's plenty of customability in creating teams and the actual gameplay is second to none.

I know you like to play online so it is definately the game for you. Online is great. No franchise but thats the only thing it is missing.

I'm having fun playing online, and tweaking my teams. I still havent started a season, because I havent perfected my team lol. So many combos...I'm not even using the team in my sig lol.

If your a big offline guy it may be iffy, but if your like playing online, then its great. There is unsim folks out there, but most have been great.

I have played like 50 games already online. in 2k5 i never played 50 in any month. This game has me by the balls. lol I live with my sister, and well she went out of town, and i been home alone i just played all day literally. lol

best gameplay ever for a football game.

but lack of features hurts the game.. especially for people without online.

id def rate this one of the top 5 football games of all-time. franchise or no franchise.

I give it an even 9. Most enjoyable sports game i have ever played, but i wish i had i little more control over my defensive backs.

Edit: The custom playbook feature is excellent.

I give it a 9.3 for me...an objective rating would be about an 8.8 due to the somewhat limiting nature, although the VIP sytem and variability of playing seasons with LOTS of different combinations make it deeper than most will realise.

Of course, it would have been a great plus to have the ability to fully set rosters in season mode, allow the use of
VIP profiles to control teams in season, and play with as many teams aas possible in season mode as well.

If you play online its a 9. Because it is so good online. this game was made for online and single player was only added for practice.

if you don't play online its a 7. Because before i go the internet to work i didn't play it much at all. But since i got the online up i play for like 5 hours straight.

It's not worth $60 because it isn't deep. It's still a good football game. Online is good though. The animations are excellently well done.

Well majority of all you guys gave it a nine so im guessing its a good game i can live without franchise and i do like to play online so im going to be getting this game today or tomorrow when i get my xbox back

First off, dont go by the Marketplace demo, it does it no justice....
Its a pretty good game, id give it a 8.0, I would def rent it first though, then but it if it fits you, cant hurt you know?
