So, some players want playing time, some want to be close to home, some want to be at a big program, some want to feel wanted.
Can someone please tell me what EXACTLY they are looking for, or any suggestions.
Like how close is close to home? Within state lines?
What is a big program? A power school or a program that has won at least 1 national championship???
Good Coaching? --- What's the least amount for that?
I need some more clarification!
Thanks...

Dude there are so many millions of algorithms going on in this game it's damn near as close to real life as you can get. What does that mean? That means think of them as real kids. Put yourself in their shoes and think about what it would mean to you to be close to home while you are away to college. For some, a state or two away would suffice, for others more than an hour or two away from mommy is too much. You have to play it by ear and feel them out.

If you were 18, really good at a sport, wanted to play for a college team, and wanted to feel wanted, what do you think "wanted" would mean to you? Getting called all the time from the head coach, seeing the same regular scouts at your games, the same coach VISITING YOUR HOUSE multiple times; you think getting all that would make you feel wanted?

Big program? Once again, look at it from a teenagers perspective. What would they consider big? Probably ones they see on tv all the time is a start. Seeing your team in the top 25 or getting talked about by the college analysts on ESPN would be cool as hell. **HINT HINT** This game has a weekly sports show that airs every Sunday, a preseason show and even a full tournament selection show. Your team ever mentioned on any of those shows? If not you're probably not a even close to smelling like a big program.

Remember that there are millions a algorithms going on in this game. There's really is no exact way to make all the chips fall your way. Gone are the days of simplistic video games that gave you the exact same outcome everytime you did something a certain way. Enter the "real world" age of games. Play this game like you would do in real life and I can assure you that you will get good results.

sound advice!!! play it like "real world".

another good way to tell if you are a big time program is try to schedule a team like Duke or Kentucky to play a game AT YOUR GYM. They'll tell you real fast if you're not worthy.

Also keep in mind, that just because that is what the player says he wants that he still won't sign with you. Some "world" players says "close to home" is their top priority - but chances are they will be playing for someone in the states.....far far from home. If you go after the player, and the other programs lose interest, you might get to steal one now and then. Just keep in mind that after all your work, he could be 100% interested and have you listed at #1, and then some power school (like Duke) could swoop in and sign him at the last minute....but that's real world.
I just try to work the Jr's hard the season before, and then sign them in the early period the next season (that let's you focus solely on jr prospects...or maybe hold out 1 scholarship and put a lot of time on a top star Sr after that).
