List your APF2K9 Wishlists in here!

My wishlist i would like 2k to incorporate

Weakness Abilities

I think this feature will really make each players very unique and have the ability to fully recreate someone virtually.

For example:

Joe Montana...his weakness was that he gets injured often! One big hit and he is down with a broken rib.

Now if i had a BIG HIT Lb and i went for a sack, there is a BIG chance that i am goin to injure Joe Montana.

By bringing out the weaknesses of players i think the depth of strategy involved will finaly reach that of a true football sim virtual game.

Each and every move of players and every down will be crucial, everyone will have to think not only of their players stregths but also their weaknesses.

I think this will be an AWESOME addition for next year :)

I mean, if i want to create a player i should be able to add weaknesses to recreate how that player really is in real life.

PERSONALITY ABILITIES

Another new addition i would like added is personality abilities. I would like to see Abilities such as

ShowOff, TrashTalker, Whiner, FightStarter, MoralBooster, CrowdPumper, Motivator, TeamPumper

If i were to create T.O. I would add "ShowOff, TrashTalker, Whiner, FightStarter," all of those attributes and then he would basically start acting like himself during the game or even inside the locker room.

Imagine!

having Personality Attributes! each player acting differently from each other. Each players would then act the way they do in real life on the field!

Sure, each players have weaknesses, We are trying to create REAL LIFE SIMULATION of football players right?

Not all football players are 100% perfect.

The only drawback is when playing online, people would not add weaknesses to their custom players.

Well... you co uld have required amount of weaknesses. Bronze need 3, silver need 2, gold need 1.

Or just weaknesses that come with certian abilities, speed burner = more likely to fumble while going full speed etc. Then if you're bronze you have to keep the weakness that comes with your ability, on silver you can cut one out, on gold you can cut two out. That way you always have a weakness.

Pretty good idea!

Yea Gold players would have 1 weakness.

Like with Joe he was injury prone whenever he was hit. I am not sure about Jerrys weaknesses tho.

But yea your idea would work really well!

I hope they add these next year.

Franchise mode, unlockables obtain with Tokens like in NHL 2K7, First Person football, some mini-games, get the number of legends up to over 400 (or 500?), no auto-strafe online, more sliders, a better front cover, etc.

Wardrobe malfunctions...Helmets popping off from big hits, grass and mud in face masks, jersey getting ripped every now and then, jerseys coming out of pants sometimes and players having to fix them, socks being rolled down to player's ankles after a shoe-string tackle, ect.

Also, if a player goes out for a little while for a minor injury, have more cut scenes that show the trainers attending the injury and have the player's appearance change after injury (i.e. - knee brace added, ankle being taped or retaped, ace bandage wrapped on injury, or shoulder sleeve, ect.)

My Wishlist

Special Teams Slot - Give us a slot we can use for special teamers - choice of PK/Punter/KR...Give them some love. Add dedicated Legend KR like Desmond Howard, Billy "Whiteshoes" Johnson, etc

Playbook - Make and save a global playbook to work from. Editing the playbook for each team takes too long, especially when each player likely has a large quantity of fav plays that apply to any squad

Situational - Better and deeper situational setup & depth charts - a'la 2k5

Legends - MORE legends and tweaking to the tiering system. Some legends are in places they dont belong. OL arent necessary as golds - just the way the game plays - 2k5 was the same way - OL are just serviceable - even the worst. Or change the engine I guess. Just a tweaking or adding an extra gold or something - Like a DL/OL only slot. Maybe a Offense Slot, Defense Slot and a third slot that could be either. Lots of ways to tweak and make it better.

Names & Number Editing - Let us edit the generic names & numbers. I have three #69 on my OL and three #26 DBs - Not a big deal, but a bit of an annoyance.

Season - Lots of ways to add/enhance the season. Allow us more freedom of setup without NFL restrictions. Number of games, etc. How about a Pro-Bowl - normally annoying with the NFL but playing an end of season Pro Bowl with all the legends would be a blast. How about managing multiple teams in a season? Maybe a fantasy draft option for a season - just things to add value & fun to the game. No NFL License - NO BIG DEAL AT ALL but let us do it our way - free the restrictions completely.

Custom Soundtracks - I know but I can always wish it to come back someday :(

A few suggestions for improving on an already fantastic game:

1. Tighten up DB AI. There is NO excuse for a defensive back (legend or generic) to completely turn his back to the line of scrimmage. I'd like to see more of the DB's running stride for stride with their man.

2. At the point where we edit out team to decide Coverage/Balanced/Run Stopping DB's, add an option for Aggressive or Normal. Aggressive DB's would be more of a Bump and Run type DB.

3. Clean up the bad/missed calls in the game. Too many times I'm seeing out of bounds catches count as inbounds (!?!). Even after challenges.

4. Make the game completely customizable. Let us edit player names, numbers, etc. Let us customize our leagues (# of teams, playoff formats, etc).

Also, please eliminate the animation LBzRules calls 'the Suplex' where a DLineman absolutely pancakes an OLineman, but leave such a gaping hole that the RB runs right through it for big yardage. Or at least tone it down some so that it's not such a big advantage for the offense.

Here is a quick idea of what I think would be great fora franchise mode.

the main problem seems to be that we are getting out of the premise of the game if we allow generic players to become as good as the Legends through progression of what have you. So then what is the point of the draft ? Who wants more generic players? Well here is my idea.
1)
the game / season starts just like it does now, you pick your franchise and players . but then after the season is completed you have a "point cap / salary cap"

2) Lets say you get 21 points to re-sign your players. Well Gold players are worth 7 points each and silver are worth 5 points and bronze are worth 3. So it forces you to pick and choose who you will sign and who you let go. perhaps if you win the championship you get an extra 4 points to resign players

3) Anyone you dont sign goes into a draft pool along with all the players cut loose from the other computer controlled teams.

4) A draft order is decided "NBA Lottery style" and boom you fill out the rest of your roster using a draft and with real players not generics. The draft would be 3-5 rounds long and you would have as many picks as you have roster positions to fill.

From a presentation side te whole thing could be handled broadcast TV style with all the hall of famers sitting in a big room and come up to the podium and hold up their new jersey when they are picked and form a scouting side you would be able to veiw the players previous seasons statsm, highlights and his abilities prior to drafting him.

[b]WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Fisrt Person Football and the ability to play against VIP profiles in season/franchise mode....total roster control over the whole league and the ability to play as any team as you want in season/franchise mode.............ability to make weekly and season 'highlight' films complete with user voiceovers(if desired) which can be saved for infinite replay(and not limiting this or REELMAKER to only using clips that contain the SAME players!)..........a deeper COACH mode........custom stadium music.....custom music for REELMAKER............
