The Legends from the 50's (Lou Groza, Sammy Baugh, Chuck Noll) while I'm sure everyone who plays this game has never seen them play a down, a way to make them more enticing is to let them play their offensive and defensive postions.
Back then guys played offense and defense. Lou Groza was an all-pro Offensive Tackle, as much as Bob St. Clair was. I tried putting him on the line... on his back every other play. Sammy Baugh is second all-time in punting average and was an all-pro Safety.
To give them decent awareness on their secondary postion would make them that much more valuable and fun to play with. Until then I'll have to keep the illusion that Pihos is getting the job done at the LE of my 3-4.
Look up some the oldtimers on Wikipedia to see what their other positions were. It's kinda fun to have guys on both sides of the ball.
