The Legends from the 50's (Lou Groza, Sammy Baugh, Chuck Noll) while I'm sure everyone who plays this game has never seen them play a down, a way to make them more enticing is to let them play their offensive and defensive postions.

Back then guys played offense and defense. Lou Groza was an all-pro Offensive Tackle, as much as Bob St. Clair was. I tried putting him on the line... on his back every other play. Sammy Baugh is second all-time in punting average and was an all-pro Safety.

To give them decent awareness on their secondary postion would make them that much more valuable and fun to play with. Until then I'll have to keep the illusion that Pihos is getting the job done at the LE of my 3-4.

Look up some the oldtimers on Wikipedia to see what their other positions were. It's kinda fun to have guys on both sides of the ball.

I know I agree I was Upset when bednarik doesn't play center also. Still he is a beast at Linebacker.

It would make the game unbalanced. You could pick one player and have him on both sides of the ball where someone selecting a more modern legend gives up a star and only gets an offense or defensive player. Everyone would flock to the legends that gave them this double duty because it would be like getting a free extra player...that is - unless they made you count these guys twice; once if you put them on the defensive side and once for the offensive side.

No - that parts of the allure of them - extra value. Maybe Sammy Baugh isnt Steve Young or Joe Montana - but he would be now. There are still Stamina issues to deal with. Just adds to the overall strategy & appeal. It wouldnt be unbalanced at all.

I think its a crazy good idea.....Value is everything with these picks - You have WRs/CBs who return kicks as it is right now.
