LiVe N DIE N TX Exposed!!!

This guy is ranked #3 on XBox 360. I was ranked like 81. He is pure trash. In fact, he has perfected glitches I didn’t even think were still in this game. Here is what an afternoon with LiVe N DIE is like.

1. He D-line glitches. I am not going to tell you how because the last thing I want is a bunch of copycats, but his guy runs free every time. If you pass protect base or max you can stop him a couple of times but once he gets used to it he comes free then too. I mean completely free like the inside twist D-line glitch in 2K5.

2. He has LOTS of created players. Now I have a few myself, so no biggie, but I must say one curiosity was his FS Too Tall Taylor and his SS Ed Reed, who each had 5!!! skills apiece!!!. Ball Hawk, Run Reader, Coverage Bonus, Run Coverage, and Speed Burner. I have no idea how he created a player with 5 skills. Needless to say he was a monster, catching errant passes I would throw because I was always running for my life. Edit: I see that is what happens when you unlock all the achievements. Nothing like hurrying to do them all so you can cheese online! SWEET!!!

3. He used the same 3 plays 90% of the time. He has a toss out of the tight bunch to Cedric Benson who has Scissor Kick skill (???). He takes the ball and starts high stepping and it is very hard to stop. Otherwise he just dumps it off to Metzelaars. I think his offense is stoppable. By the time I figured it out it was too late for me.

4. His sportsmanship is my Favorite part. He a.) goes for 2 every time he scores, b.) fake punts and fake FGs, c.) of course I already mentioned the D-line glitching, d.) shows me his stats and replays, e.) throws 50 yard bombs in the 4th qtr when he is up by 30.

So that’s what it takes to be ranked #3

its been established rank means nothing. ive played the best of the best.. and even if i lose, i dont lose by much.. and my rank is like 500

id consider myself one of the top 25 players.

but again, people like that guy go after rookies.. when i go in the lobby, im looking for the top guy..

that would explain my 30 losses

i challeneged that guy once, and he declined.. he goes after people with little experience.

WTF are you talking about? I play legitimately and I am ranked 81. The loss to him actually made my rank go up not down. It was a win-win situation for me because I knew that if I won my rank would skyrocket and if I lost it would stay the same. I am just letting pople know how he plays and commenting on how ridiculous it is.

Anyone can play me. My approval rating is 89%. I demonstrate good sportsmanship (i.e. if I am up by 21 or more I just run and don't try to score). Many of my games have been close and I live and die with my defense, which is ranked in the 70s. I do not control anyone on D, I just let them play and I outsmart my opponent. Those who have played me know this is true. Anyone else can play me. I will play unranked if you want.

I am proud of my rank not because I am a loser who gets off on having a high rank. I like the game and I have played 2K since 2K3. I played close to 1000 games on 2K5 and I only cracked the top 100 once when I won a game on the last play. I got cheesed, glitched, halftime dropped, and everything else so many times I can't even keep track. Probably 250 out of about 1000 games at leat. And I am also not a guy who has super strict sim standards either. So it is very gratifying to know that rank is to a much greater extent in 2K an accurate guage of how good players are. 2K has eliminated a lot of the cheese from 2K5 and in close to 60 games now I have only had 1 person glitch me, a guy who froze my console, but even that may have been an accident because it was a weird time in the game to freeze someone. I am not whining.

If I wanted to whine I could go on and on about how EVERYONE uses the same damn stretch play from the Jokers Pair and from the I Spread formation and how one of those 2 plays is almost GUARANTEED to be the first play of the game, or how Gold and Silver Legends are unstoppable on out-routes and on and on and on. But you know what? I don't care. People can bring me that stuff and I just keep winning. No whining, just winning. So play me if you want, but otherwise don't talk about what you don't know.

Don't take this personally - but when someone tries to play me with created players, I just go back to the lobby. It's too much a of a crap shoot as to whether they're playing cheap or not. I'd rather just avoid created players until some issues get wrapped up.

Created players when abused are dumb Live N Die. Ed Reed doesn't deserve three speacil abilities to begin with and Cedric Benson DEFINATLEY doesn't have scissor kick... Your simply putting whatever abilities on players that fit your need not what they should actually have.

Immature kids like this are still doing the stat showing? I thought these kids would be gone after 2k5. It's like the guys who when you get a penalty called against you, instead of just selecting accept, they go back and forth to decline /accept a bunch of times just to try to annoy you.

Yeah you wouldn't think there would be as many younger people on 2K8 because of the legends vs current players.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of playing with created players unless they're bonified legends. Even then I'm still iffy about it. I'm getting the impression that the young kids who don't know half of these legends are the ones doing it. I'm guilty of creating players. I've created Tim Brown (Gold, 3 spec.abilities), and the Marks Bros (silver)...and that's it. I don't have a problem when folks create real players to their likeness but when you create a 7 foot tailback with uber abilities, it just doesn't look right. Ranked games should be played w/o created players.

I have decided to never play created players anymore unless I have a few of my own...If this becomes an issue in the tournament I shall just create my own ...Cant beat them, join them and then beat them.

I have a few created players, but it's myself and a few friends I played with in high school. We're all bronze and normal height. Would you be against this?

I'm not against created players, just created players that have completely bogus attributes such as benson with the sissor kick (yeah right). It's fun to make some guys... Marshall Faulk, Priest Holmes, Jerome Bettis, Jim Kelley... But you have to be fair about it in doing so. If you wanted to make yourself and a few friends thats fine as long as you all are not 7 feet tall :P

I can see using 1 maybe 2 created players, but when people have over half they team filled up with them, and there don’t even correspond with there real life counterparts, its highly annoying and plain FAKE to me.

1. I was marveling at you D-line glitching because I didn't know it was possible in this game. Believe me, whether he was blitzing 8 or not is irrelevant. He moved a player to a specific spot that let him come through the line unblocked every time, even when I know he wasn't even blitzing 7. I know that's true and so does he.

2. No thanks. Besides, even if I wanted to they would be hard to find since most kids' don't drop until they hit 12 or 13.

3. You probably will. Too bad they don't include a dictionary and a grammar book with the prizes.

Actually I could see Ed Reed having Ball Hawk, Speed Burner and Run Coverage, but the fact that he had 2 safeties with Speed Burner, Ball Hawk, Coverage Bonus, Run Coverage, and Run Reader indicates that he just wanted an excuse to make 2 super safeties.

Rematch? No created players on either side? I would say o manual blitzing but you would cry about it. You wouldn't be half as good without your super safeties. You will have to play in the tourney without them.

BTW, he also had Devin Hester, Speed Burner (fine) and Coverage Bonus (WTF?)

It is a game... There will always be cheap players... I suggest finding some people you really enjoy playing against, add them as friends and play that way.

avoid the a-holes like LiveandDie, BenRichardSon, and others by finding good players and sticking with them.
