Ok guys, I just got the game saturday (was on vacation when it dropped :( ) anyway I took wife to the supermarket and walked over to the gamestop by me. The demo was playing so I figure I get a few plays in while she gets the grub. Well I used the NJ Assassins and get a rushing TD with The Juice. I swear, unless I wasn't really seeing what I saw, OJ mooned the crowd. I was LMAO but when I went back home to play my game I didn't see that as a selection in TD celebrations. Has anyone else seen this or was my eyes playing tricks on me? But I DO know I saw it. Maybe it was in the demo and taken out for retail. I don't know
PS: I'm also assuming that you can't shift the D line. Is this true?
PPS: In my few days of playing the game has already attained instant classic for my game collection. Now I have a ton of games that wont get played because of this. It can use a coat of paint here and there but overall I FINALLY have football on the 360. The detail they put in this game , OMG. I noticed on penalties that the refs don't actually throw the flag. At least that's what I thought, I decided to look at the replay and noticed that unlike 2K5 in which all the refs threw their flags in APF only the ref who sees the foul throws his flag. You gotta like that.
PPSS: Where's Deacon Jones's headslap?!?!!? I was REALLY looking forward to seeing that in the game, but all I get is Dan and Peter saying "I'm really glad they outlawed Deacon's headslap. He gave alot of my friends grief with that" or something to that effect.

So I DID see it!! Thanks for verifying it guys. I thought I was loosing it or something. LOL. Leave it to 2K to put the good stuff in. I can tell this is going to be another one of those games where when 2K10 drops people will still be seeing new stuff in 2K8.

You can shift the D-line. You have to shift the LB's to do it though.

from what i understand those really cool celebrations happen automatically and I haven't seen them available in the custom section.
Also you're supposed to be able to do custom sack celebrationsa and i haven't seen how to do that.
a patch maybe?

The mooning is in the game...They dropped a cannon right when the guy puled down he pants, its was hilariousI think some of the celebration are locked and might become available eventually...There "using the ball as a pillow" celelbration is not in celebration manager...The assains have this thing they do when they score a TD...I played this guy Mr Allpro who did it everytime his team scored...It was a scary looking "cuththroat" celebration...Never seen it done by anybody yet...

I wish they had a lot more if any, custom 'team' (more than one player) sack and TD celebrations.

All of the "season" teams, and maybe a few more, have their own "team celebrations". The assasins is the "cut throat" but yeah, thats how you seen that. If you just dont press anything, they usually do their team celeb, which is usually funnier than the custom ones.

I have seen the mooning one online alot. Generally occurs to me when my opponent gets a go ahead touchdown (WTF). It ****es me off at first but eventually just have to laugh because hey if it is in the game, well you know the rest.

Ok I've seen the mooning about 3 times today, offline and online. I guess I just had to play more to see it. Also the cutthroat is cool too. One thing I haven't seen until today was late hits. But today I've seen 2 or 3 in about 6 games. So I think 2K did a good job with implementing late hits despite the uproar in the forums when suggested oh so many moons ago ;)
I do like the variety of tackles and hits in the game. I like not seeing shoulder tackles every other play like some games we know ;)

The Football gods require your soul in hell...........................
Deacon Jones headslap is one of the most notorious moves of all time, its hard to explain kind of, because if you dont already know, then ummmm, well, its like something you learn as soon as you pick up a football.

Well, it was more of a smack then a slap though. If Deacon did the headslap to you, lets just say that you'll probably be on the ground crying like a little girl.

HA, I thought it was something exclusive to 2k sports or some "inside joke" between people on the forums. I wasn't aware it was actually just a swim move, but i played football for 10 years and started all in high school, so its not like i dont know anything about football. I thought it might had even been a celebration, but ok, psout.

It's actually a little more than a swim move.
