I really love the way all the pics look like. I don't know why people complains about the glossiness of two pics, it's just lightning and sweat. In movement it will look ok, I'm 100% sure. In the other pics (not CP3's ones) it looks awesome.

Agreed with the "too glossy" comment. It's nice to see them trying different effects, but it doesn't make it look real like you're watching a game on TV.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but TMAC's legs are skinny and Lebron's legs are huge. Differentiation in the limb sizes make a huge difference in the graphics and the overall look. Good stuff!

I noticed that too, it seems like player models are getting more detailed and more variations are being created which is a huge plus!!

man i thank 2k clownin right now. i still think they have their ace(s) covered. i mean it would make NO sense and i mean NO sense at all for nba 2k8 to be the exact same way it is now graphic wise considering the upgrade weve seen on nhl 2k8. so think of these pics as nothing but a glimpse of whats to come. i am glad the players dont skate/glide hardly anymore. soon we will see what is to come of all of this.

to bad that in none of the images you dont see the mouth open/smile or teeth they all kinda have the same expressions. Hopefully well get some better pics/vids comming up

Live does have better graphics but 2K is great too.
In fact, Live has baggy shorts. And jerseys are painted on the players' body so the jersey would stay on their shoulder(looks great) which results no motion of the jersey. If you check some vids of live 08, the jerseys don't move (or barely)
But I gotta admit the Live is great with players' faces.

If you bought College Hoops 2k7, you would know that there will be home & away pairs of shoes for 2k8 (& probably a little bit more, new featured stuff). NBA 2k8 is only 60% done (as we were told last week), so don't even sweat it cause we already know the game will be better than Live any day of the rest of this year.

the picture with tmac and lebron looks the best. it really seems like 2k has stepped up the graphics a lot this yr. the only prob is is that that i still dont have an HD tv and with 2k games you really need one to appreciate the graphics to the full effect. Nice job and i watched the videos for the slam dunk contest... its looks sick and the animations are extremely smooth and looks way more realistic then live's.....

Good start with the visuals, 2k! The dunk contest videos were good as well. I just want to see more of both. Pics and vids! Pics and vids! Preferably, vids of 5on5 action or a trailer along those lines. Maybe next week? I'll pray. :) Anyway, keep on improving! You rock.

i agree^ the CP one looks like a really prototype-ish version, there is no detail in his face and his skin looks a bit rough too

I think it looks better. the faces on some of the players look a lot better. like Iguadola and B Diddy. t-macs body also looks more realistic. compared to lebron he looks skinnier. I kind of wish they would make the accesories look more realistic, like actual fabric not just like blue skin. That's a small thing but theres still time left to change things.
