Long time reader, first time poster...
I love playing NBA 2k7 for the XBox 360. I have some suggestions for player ratings which should be considered for NBA 2k8: (given the ratings in 2k7)
1. Andrew Bynum (Lakers): increase offensive ratings
2. Luke Walton (Lakers): increase outside shooting ratings
3. Amir Johnson (Pistons): increase overall athletism ratings (best player in NBDL last year)
4. Antonio McDysse (Pistons): increase jump shot mid-range rating
5. Louis Williams (76ers): increase overall ratings big time (great performance in Summer League
6. Dennis Gibson (Cavaliers): increase outside shot rating
7. Monta Ellis (Warriors): increase overall ratings
8. Marco Belinelli (Warriors): great outside shooter (lit it up at Summer League)
9. Mikki Moore (Sacramento): increase overall ratings (had a breakout season)
10. Yao Ming (Rockets) increase offensive ratings (better center than ratings in 07)
11. David Lee (Knicks): increase rebounding ratings, hustle ratings
12. Nate Robinson: increase assist and offensive awareness ratings (great Summer League)
13. Grant Hill (Suns): decrease overall ratings.. getting older and slower
14. Leandro Barbosa (Suns): increase shooting ratings and offensive ratings (great player)
And yes, I did attend NBA Summer League games in Las Vegas.
Thank you 2k Sports for the great games.

I would like to add that Barbosa probably needs a speed boost in ratings as well.

luke walton better outside shooting? no way... he's on 78 now i think from 3PT... thats more than a solid shooter has.. michael redd has 84! (i think)
yao ming fatigues too easily, you can't get good stats with him cos you can't play him for more than 60% of the game
and to my knowledge david lee's rebounding stats are in the 90s?

I can see your point on a couple issues; however, lets look at the facts:
David Lee has a defensive rating of 67 (way low), 88 defensive rebounding (ok), 87 offensive rebounding (i believe this is low, it should be 95)
Luke Walton: overall rating 73 (low), medium shot: 68 (low) 3pt shot: 76 (low also)
Michael Redd's 3point rating is 85 by the way, with a 94 for medium (right on)
Yao Ming's overall is 89. I believe this is low given one of the top 3 centers in the league and can dominate at the center position. His numbers keep going up every year.
Your point was observed, but looking at the real numbers may help you understand my justifcation.

Bynum's overall is 67 and offensive awareness is 56. These numbers are rediculous for a player the Pacers wanted to trade for with Jermaine O'Neal.
Bynum is very young will great skills for a very big guy... he should be rated at least 72 overall in this game with 95 for potential.

I agree, and I am a longtime Laker fan from SO CAL. Seeing Bynum play day in and day out on most occasions courtesy of KCAL AND FSN, I can tell you that he will never blow up.
He may average 15 ppg and 10 rebs / game, which are nice numbers. Laker fans, let us be realistic, he is not the next great center for our franchise (MIKAN, WILT, KAREEM, SHAQ)...
Kareem is tutoring him, but he also tutored MIKE OLOWOKANDI.
I am not a GM....that is why I make a living treating patients with cancer or diagnosing the disease, but I know I can run this team better than MITCH KUPCHAK.
I THINK.
DARKO WILL MAKE AN ALL STAR TEAM BEFORE OUR BOY ANDREW BYNUM.

Kobe needs to be about 4 rating higher than anyone in the game this year Being rated the same as D-Whistle and LeBrick last year was ridiculous.
