Idon't know but EAs screenshots look crappy. Once again player models have skinny legs and too skinny arms. 2K does make player arms more bigger but still bigger looks better than skinny.

I think Live's graphics look better overall, but 2K8 so far looks to be no slouch, for sure. I loved what I saw from the dunk contest, and hopefully VC brings a wealth of gameplay fixes and tweaks to the table this year.

Anyway, I wasn't terribly impressed with the Live videos that I saw. Things looked ok until they started executing movements, particularly layups, it just looks entirely too mechanical, I want it to be smoother.

Superior graphics are one thing, but I think animations and fluidity will drive this gen more than anything else. Then again, it seems that their new dribble mechanic is pretty fluid, but I'll have to have some hands on time with it to be sure.

1. Some 2k fanboys will say live's graphics suck and 2k kills them in the graphics department.... that's clearly not true, and it's not even up for debate. We can compare 08's graphics when 2k puts out some clean screens.

Can someone explain to me what "cartooney" means? Personally, I think the skin textures blow away the glow exhibited by 2k series. What about it is cartooney, to me it looks realistic as hell, even more so then 2k, with the unnatural glow, like angels or something.

Even though the Live 08 Chris Paul at least resembles Chris, the thing that's really messed up is the jersey. That yellow jersey looks more like a pull-over sweater than a basketball jersey. EA didn't even come close to how the Hornets jersey looks. And don't let me get started on those balloon short either.

Well, part of the problem is that they are all WAY too skinny. When you look at the players and certainly when u look at them in motion, they look like cartoon characters. I mean LIVE fans can claim they hav better graphics but it is still null and void when your players all run around like a hunched over granny.

Faces are much more accurately represented then in 2k this one isn't even debatable, don't have the unrealistic skin glow, overall the skin texture puts 2k to shame. Look at any pic of an NBA player and then look at the two screens and tell me that 2k is more realistic then Live.

- If you go back and show me where I called you arrogant I'll leave and never come back. If you are confusing arrogant with ignorant then you indeed are as dumb as you sound. You don't have the mental fortitude to engage me in a debate, as you've come to a gun fight with a knife.

- The comments regarding Live players looking like "clay" is your opinion and is far from fact. While you are entitled to your opinion you are NOT entitled to your own facts.

- Again, you appear to be about as dense as they come. I've said that in years past I played live almost exclusively and this year was the first time I ever picked up 2k. I was blown away by the realism and will never again except live as the only alternative. I'll wait for reviews and buy one and there is a better then good chance it will be NBA2k. So try as you might in slandering me as a Live "lover" etc. you will be unsuccessful, in fact it appears that it's your only defense at this point, since otherwise you don't have a di#@ to stand on. I've also pointed out that I work in IT (network analyst), that isn't an embellishment but fact, and even though I don't design software I'm around guys all day that do so I know a bit regarding projects of this magnitude. So when your knowledge of computers goes beyond posting on this board, using a keyboard; then come talk smack about where this game is in the development process.

I've said that it is entirely possible that they chose to show an older (60%) build of the game. So not only are you dumb but you also posses zero reading comprehension skills.

This is being objective, instead of just regurgitating the crap you do. No doubt 2K is the by far and away better series at this point in time, but it doesn't mean it will alway remain that way no matter how much you want it to be so. I'm also comfortable enough with my choice of games that I can say, even though live looks good they have a long....long way to go in the gameplay department, while 2k could certainly do better with the faces etc.

In the mean time here's a dollar, go buy some objective/critical thinking skills instead of blowing it on Da Roc. Crack kills!

Are you able to post a comparison between these shots and shots from 2K7 in the same situation??? Because i'd have to disagree... The cloth movemnt in 2k's games are nearly spot on.
