Its Just A Rumor but...

On the 2K forums, members have been discussing rumors of possible technical foul feature being incoporated. Supposively tapping of the "B" button will give your player the ability to argue a foul to a point where the ref T's you up. The only reason I may not believe it is because the NBA has cracked down on the technical foul issue and don't want it to be a big issue.

this is what we been waitin for more features to bring the nba to 2k

that seems pointless....

if the only thing you get out of arguing is getting T fouled then i see no reason it should be implemented

I'm gonna guess it will be like baseball where if you do it and don't get the T youll get a small momentum boost but would you really risk it? I know i wouldnt.

1.) 2K wants to downplay things like technical fouls
2.) The baseball feature (see MVP Baseball 2005) of arguing calls is good, but it's more realistic than how it happens in the real NBA. Everybody "talks," and a few people whine.
3.) You'd probably get your coach tossed in the crucial minutes of a game. I guarantee it would happen to someone, and they'd be ****ed and say "Oh 2K! Why'd you ever put in this stupid feature?"

4.) It's supposedly, not supposively.

They won't add tech fouls, at least for arguing, because the NBA doesn't want that in the game.

Ya, they should make a flagrant foul or maybe a 20 second timeout, not that would be any different from a normal timeout

20-second timeouts are different than regular ones because you can only sub one player in at once.

how about when play stops u can walk around talking and interacting with others. for example if u go up to the other teams best player and try to get in their head. like what lebron did to gilbert in the 2006 playoffs (what a BlTCH move that was). but if u harrased your opponent too much u would get a technical.

if the player u use to distract your opponent isnt having a good himself, your opponent will laugh it off and instead they get a boost.

you could also encourage teammates to pick it up. and when the game has been decided u can chat it up with the fans.

Or if you player lock on Tim Duncan, you can sit on the bench and laugh at calls. Would that result in a technical? (Only if Joey Crawford is officiating...)

Seriously, I like your idea to control your player more between plays. I think that technicals could be OKAY if used correctly, and if they are optional and you can turn them on and off at the gameplay menus.
