I'm not impressed with pass game modes the need to work on the Hockey games like they do the NBA games. Hockey is just as good of a sport if not better sometimes than both B- balls.

They need some type of story mode, I know its hockey but come on I want more than just the gameplay.

Didn't 2K6 have more gamemodes than 2K7? It doesn't matter I just want two K eight to be better.

I think the devs waste too much valuable time with those BS game modes like mini games and changing the ice rank and unlocking big heads and BS like that. NHL 2k7 was already borderline arcadedish with all of the unecessary checks and stupid goaltending. They could spend that time on gameplay tweaks. They should make the PS3 version an actual PS3 version. U can tell they ported it from the 360. For example, the intermission highlights were active on the 360, but not on the PS3. Obviously they couldn't convert something in time of the PS3 release to get the highlights activated. I hope they did some gameplay fixes, because 2k7 needed it bad.

Really I agree with you, I want the gameplay way more to be better. In the past next-gen games the players and fans and anyone else just look crappy(for next-gen of course) it looks like it would just be current gen. After looking at 2K8 screenshots the first time I thought they had updated it but its still basically looking like its sticking to them.

By the way does anyone know when this should come out.

Anyone remember first person mode in NFL 2k games? I think that would be the most incredible game mode for NHL 2k games. First person goalie mode with controlls for each hand and leg would be amazingly fun. Something along the lines of FP mode would be great.

You're talking about Kush here, actually. Kush is the FUN game developer, whoopie! Who cares about sim game play when you can have players with big heads, or rob 15 HR's a game? (MLB 2K.)

I started a "career" with my goalie D.J. Poapst in the 09-10 season and I controll him (full locg- Goalie under control settings) and I have him play in 50-60 of my games, he started with 82 overall and 5 years later he had a 95 overall.

Not only that, but if they could do that for when you full-lock a player. And your a center or a winger you are in first person view that would be pretty cool!
