I was talking to a fellow online player about how 2K should release a legends pack (like marvel ultimate alliance does) that would have like 10 new legends you could buy for 400 points or something. That way they can add in guys like Jim Kelly, Deion Sanders, Terry Bradshaw, and other legends not in the game.

Some legends don't want to be in the game or just want alot more money than 2k wants to offer. I do believe they will add some. But don't get excited about guys like Bradshaw and especially Sanders. Plus, I believe they will want to save some of the bigger names they sign for 2k9 if there is a 2k9 . . .

I think more Legends will come around once they see how true-to-life the current in-game Legends are portrayed.

Yeah, let's encourage 2k to further utilize the marketplace to overcharge us for content that really should have been included with the game... (reelmaker, *cough*)

I'll wait for 2k9, hopefully they'll add more legends then. In the meantime, 240 is enough for me.

With 240 legends, there are millions of unique teams I can make.

Good for you. They announced to the public that it was around $60,00.00. I don't care what the reasons are. Money is a big deal to some of these people and they will never be in. I will almost gurantee Sanders will never make an appearence because he is all about the money.

You can complain all you want about 2k's offerings. But if they paid alot of money for these people, then they wouldn't have anywhere near 240 people. Plus, I like the fact that there's alot of mediocre people in the game. It makes it more interesting.

Ditka was happy that the rights fees paid to each player -- between four and six figures, according to 2K Sports -- would be an unexpected windfall for some of the older former players who earned relatively little during their pro football careers.

Whatever....but you know more than ESPN and 2k, so you say.....
$60k on average to be included in a video game - thats stealing - not exactly hard work.

Never happen. #1 the game hasn't even sold 100,000 copies. 240 legends even at $15,000 each = 3.6 Million 100,000 units at say $30.00 (What 2K makes per unit sold) = 3.0 Million Less approx 750,000 in advertising They are already in the hole 1.2+ Million. They will not be able to get many players who have exclusive rights (Like LT, etc) plus EA is working on a new exclusive deal that would include hall of famers. I honestly feel 2K screwed themselves...The game is okay but they should have sold it for no more than $30.00 and not just tweaked 2K5. Also if they tried to add more legends they would fall further in the hole.

The game sold 140k on 360 in its first week.
