View Full Version : Picking Your Team Based On Your Oppenents?

I don't play online but I have seen people saying that if someone they are gonna play has Jerry Rice for instance, they will get Rod Woodson for that one game. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of creating a real league? You pick who you pick and they ride with them through the end. This of course is AFTER you experiment with them all?
What are your thoughts?

A lot of players have different teams based on their oppontents, for example: Someone would create a team with Rod Woodson and Ronnie Lott and when their oppontents have Jerry Rice and Joe Montana they use that team. They might create another team with Singletary and Thomas so when they see their oppontent has Earl Campbell they use that team. I just use a balanced team online but I have 4 or 5 teams created. Sometimes its fun to watch your oppontent scroll through the teams and look for one with the best matchups and then I start changing teams and getting them confused. :)

Yeah, about the last 6 games or so I've played, my opponent will pick his team based on who I'm using. I use the same team about 90% of the time and never change to any of the other 3 teams I've created. Once chosen, I stick with it. Oh well, what ya gonna do?

I prefer to stay with the same team until I feel that I can create a better one.

i use the same team everytime i dont care who my opponent has i dont have the patience to create a team for every player in the game. im not editing my team based on whats yours looks like because that just ruins my gameplan.
