ya I beat a guy with all D and Earl Cambell as his only star player. It was a close one, like 20-17, well that was the score with 30 seconds left and I had the ball and then the game froze up on me! imagine that! I'm probably going to get rid of this game because of the online issues with people

Nah. The game was freezing up on me too, but somehow, I know people drop (pull the plug) at the end of the game to avoid losing.

I have had a similar experience where people will eat up bandwidth on big plays, aka, start downloading something or check outlook something like that. It is pretty obvious when it only happens when 1 of you has the ball! hah

God I hate people that say this. It isn't cheesing if he does good against you. I have silver DE, bronze DT, bronze OLB, and gold ILB, and i absolutely DESTROY any RB. Out of my 23 online games (15-7-1) i've had four guys get over 150 yards. That was with Okoye (twice) Curt Warner, and Barry Sanders. So don't talk about how difficult it is to stop the run when it's just your teams setup that can't stop it. Heck, you can have 2 gold linebackers and a silver linebacker, but have no d-line and completely suck against the run. You need defensive linemen that will demand double teams to free up your linebackers to get up and plug the open holes.

I mean heck, just do the math. How many people on the O-line? 5. How many people on the D-line? 4. Uh oh! So lets say you have a crap d-line, on every single play the other team is going to have an extra O-lineman that gets to the second level and takes out your LB, leaving a huge lane for their RB. Heck throw in a fullback if they have one and now you have a real mess. Now lets say you have some really good D-lineman, if you have a double team on every play, that leaves 3 O-lineman to block 3 d-lineman... seems pretty balanced now huh? So, the play starts, your DT gets double teamed, the RB has to go the other way, your awesome LB is there to plug up the hole, 2 yard gain. Next play, double teamed again and this time your silver DE breaks free, this time they brought in a full back though and he stays and hits the DE, RB goes through the hole only to be met by your ILB and OLB, no gain. Third down now, passing situation. QB drops back, DT is double teamed but again your silver DE breaks through on the single coverage, QB is forced to make a quick decision, and it's the wrong one. Interception. Woohoo!

I build my defense around this motto. A corner makes the secondary better, a linebacker makes your linebackers better, but a defensive lineman makes your defensive line, your linebackers, and your secondary better.


Just so you know, I have this reply saved in a word document, and like to pop it out against anybody that says using Earl Campbell all the time is cheesing. Sorry if not everything applies to you but you get the idea.

This isn't pop warner people. You don't have a coach going WE HAVE TO SHARE THE BALL, THE RECEIVERS NEED TO PLAY ALSO!!! In the NFL, if you have a RB that cannot be stopped no matter what, why would you throw it? In the beginning of last season when San Diego was a little iffy on Phillip Rivers and ina game threw the ball 7 times, and ran the rest with LT, do you think the other coach was like OMG THIS DUDE IS T3H CH33Z1NG! HE SHOULD BE BANZORZED FROM THE NFL. D0NT PL4Y THIS GUY HE IS T3H CH33Z4R! No. He was like OH MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR??! He knows they are going to run the ball on EVERY PLAY WHY CAN'T HE STOP THEM. If you CAN'T STOP SOMEBODY it's your team and it's your play calling and it's your basic knowledge of football.

I mean my god you think the NFL might as well have killed themselves from yelling cheesers 2 years ago when the Steelers won the superbowl. They had like barely any passing yards from Big Ben (2385 to be exact) and gave the ball to Jerome Bettis and Willie Parker like a bazillion times. I mean oh god he had 8 games with under 15 completions that year. Did anybody call Bill Cower a cheeser? No they were like oh damn this guy has a supremely awesome system and supremely awesome coaching skills. He just beat me with a stick and out coached me till I died. And don't think I'm a steelers fan I HATE THE STEELERS they were the jerks that took my Broncos out of the playoffs one freakin game before the Superbowl.

God. Maybe you should go milk a cow and make cheese out of it or something that way I won't look at you like a complete moron when you yell CHEESER. Or go become a Packers fan. You know, cheeseheads and all that?

dis guy suritzu aka sirdelsol is a ***get, foo runs all day w/ campbell, and tells me how i suck that i only run same offensive passing plays. foo had 32 carries with campbell for 132 yards. his qb rating was 4.3.

Mumbai - I'll never play you, there is no misunderstanding about the game being lagy every single time i had the ball on 3rd and 4th down in the 3rd and 4th quarter. You had a game with all biz and he thought you were pretty legit but after our game, even if it was the biggest fluke that I was the only one who got lag on big plays I wouldn't play again for the lag of itself.

Oh well, i'm going to try to sleep, should have done that an hour ago or so.

Nah you were fine when we played. You always seem to play me with that team with the loaded defense and seem to throw the ball pretty well with a generic QB. They've been some of the more interesting games I've played online. I imagine you're still having nightmares about me covering the posts with Pepper.;)
