Was in a overtime game Rice on a fade route burned up the man I am tapping A and all of a sudden he stops and laterals the ball back for a fumble? I have played over a 100 games and this is the first just wondering anywone else encountered this?

Maybe in you accidently hit the directionals which laterals in your tapping of A. I have had players stop suddenly for no reason after catching the ball as if there shocked they actually caught it. LOL I think if you didn't touch anything the reciever just runs straight all by itself. I'm not sure.
