A lot of people here and at OS are saying there aren't enough fumbles in the game. So I don't think it matters who you have on D. Fumble slider for offline, of course...

Or offensive players who are good at hanging onto the ball.

Word. In about 30 games, my RB has fumbled what, twice? averaging 20ish carries per game. Even if secure ball cuts those down to zero, that's still 0.3% vs. 0%. Not nearly worth it.

I play offline and jacked the fumble slider to full. I have seen a couple fumbles in the several full games I've played. Still not nearly enough though.

i run the Indian blitz alot out of the 4-3..i cant tell you how many times jack tatum has had 2nd level big hit if theres sucha a thing on the QB and still never ever ever ever ever a fumble even on the scrubbiest QB'z . . .

How clever of you...oh wait, why is "Ball Strip" in this game then?

honestly since most players use Legend RB, don't suspect alot of fumbles.

Come on man, why would I get ball strip then, if the ball doesn't get stripped?

Well, online I can only say it should be rare. For the best backs mind you. The best backs only fumble a few times per YEAR. So...I don't want it to be like madden where you can get one every game. It should be rare if you have a legend at back.

I use W.Payton and have NEVER fumbled yet. I have forced 2 Fumbles on D though.... and it took a PERFECT hit to the ball carrier on the arm/ball itself to jar it free. Very realistic actually when I watched the replay. I don't want RANDOM fumbles for no reason like I was getting in NCAA 08. I prefer the 2K8 FB method of having to 'make it happen'.
Just keep trying to nail the ball carrier on the side he's carrying the ball. Being powered up helps to for more impact. and of course there's the 'sliders' like everyone has said.

Tackling from behind has been a big fumble causer for me. Usually a charged star player w/ hit stick from behind jars the ball loose. Allso don't forget to hit ( Y ) when the ball is on the ground. I didn't know that before and was trying to dive on the ball with ( X ) and I would never recover it unless it was a CPU recovery.

I remember when I played the CPU Derrick Thomas got the QB from behind and forced a fumble. He put his right hand on the QBs throwing hand and the ball slipped out. It wasn't like the QB was throwing either he just stripped the ball. I still don't know how to do that, but it looked more like a reach tackle then a big hit. Maybe reach tackles strip the ball also?

Charge hit them when they're in the air or right after a punt return.

You need ball strip players.
And also hit them when they juke, or when they have their arms up with the ball, thats when they can easily fumble it.

Just finished a game right now and i had 2 fumbles 1 by the quarterback and the other by an intercepted pass. They dont happen alot in this game thats for sure. I dont think they happend hardly at all in 2k5 either.

Lord. You have to click the right thumbstick to go in for a big hit, that causes fumbles.
