I make the comparison because back in the day I couldn't stop playing TSB and the same goes for APF. And players also play like their real life counterparts like in TSB - Marino's quick release looks like he's throwing darts out there. Randall Cunningham is The Rocket Man though not as extreme as QB Eagles. Kosar has that quirky side-arm delivery etc.
In Madden only the players' overall speed distinguishes themselves from each other. I think the 2K series needs to keep the ratings system intact - with only tiers and special abilities. If there are numerical ratings let it run under the hood.
