To me, the graphics look amazing. Also, the animations for this game are literally 10x better than Madden. It feels and plays like real football. If you're an online gamer, then definitely get this over madden. If you like offline play with a deep franchise, then you might want to go with madden. The thing is, I'll probably never go back to Madden now taht I've had a taste of 2k gameplay. It feels like the real thing, whereas madden gets boring as hell after about 4 games..

Get APF. Your gaurenteed to have the best gameplay online. I can't help you with the league options. I just joined my first league today and it isnt full yet so its hard to say. Playing ranked matches is a blast though.

anyways.... yeah dude... if you're looking for the full experience within a football video game.... APF is where it's at. There's so much depth to this game it's crazy good! Leagues are awesome too. I'm in the middle of setting up a draft league... something you can't do in madden and probably will never be able to do. The gameplay is great too. everything requires skill... from playing D to running an offense. The AI is also great for offline balling... the AI appears to get better on both O and D.

check out the demo and then check out the NCAA demo... wait... you're on PS3.... if they have a demo on PS3... i hope they do.. then check it out. I have heard that sixaxis sucks for APF but I also heard they fixed that.

either way man.. APF is a far better overall football game while Madden will make you happy just because it has the NFL license.... and that's all it has.

If you post here, people will tell you to get APF, if you post on a madden forum people will tell you to get madden.

Either read both reviews and judge by that, or(my suggestion) rent both games and decide for yourself...

Simply put, if you're looking one or the other, it depends.
If you value online play, better gameplay, and a more realistic game, as well as flexibility, go with APF.
If you value current rosters, franchise mode and other extras, go with Madden.

Now THATS what he was expecting...."everyone knows Madden will suck!" Ugh.....

To me Madden will keep me busy longer, online is full of people who just wanna play stupid and talk **** ...AND give bad feedback if they lose.

I like APF...but I like the NFL and I dont think Madden is terrible (except for the presentation)

We are all still a little mad at EA for the exclusive deal.....(some are STILL enraged by it from the looks at some Madden comments on here.).

If you're not going to bother renting APF to find out for yourself, at least make these questions a little tougher, c'mon. Buy APF if you play online. Think about it first if you play offline. And don't even consider purchasing Madden if you're truly interested in video FOOTBALL.

madden ONLY if you love franchise mode and live for it.

i personally am an online player like the thread starter.. so to answer threat starter's question, 2K8 is great online. You create your own team, own playbook, own uniforms and play against someone else's created team.

New uniforms everytime you play someone and u can create 8 teams to choose from when you go online, each one with different guys, playbook, and uniforms.

2K8 online is really great. Even if you're a madden fan, I don't see how any online player could not love 2K8 online.

I would absolutely not wait any longer, this game is fun. Simply put, it lacks dynasty mode and current NFL players, but the game is fun!!!

I bought NCAA as well, and really don't have any desire to play it after playing APF. I am not knocking it in any way, NCAA is a good game, it just lacks the fun factor of APF!

every year for the past 3 releases for the 360, i tell myself "this new madden game is gonna be great" and every year is another dissapointment. im done giving EA a chance to make the game the sim that I want.
