SO has anyone been scanning the IGN info they have been for Madden? Releasing player ratings and attributes. I love how Madden tends to rate stuff. Just from glancing over some of the numbers i'm seeing, things like Chris Chambers being rated the SAME as Santana Moss (living in Miami i can tell you first hand Chambersis the most over rated #1 receiver in the LEAGUE). Jericho Cotchery being rated a few points BELOW Chris Chambers. Ed Reed being given NO special attributes. TO having an 80 for hands despite, i believe, leading wr's in tds. Patriots completely loaded with generous stats. A bunch of defenders with higher ratings then the defensive player of the year. So on and so on. I have only glanced at the stats but i'm sure there are many more ridiculous statistics given in this game. Ugggh. Madden BS! Let the rolling of the eyes commence.

TO also led the league in drops. That might account for the 80 in hands.

I just like it when the statistics are a bit more accurate. Some of there ratings just dont make much sense. EA is big on that . Same on Nba Live

screw the nfl and madden for taking the best football series ever (2K) and shutting them down for 2 years. Its all about the greed thats why on ea games you cant play multiplayer. Why on earth would they do that when you should be purchasing your own xbox, xbox live, games and all accesories. I have played every madden since 1989 for genesis, bought them all and 2k when it came out in 2000. I like nothing of there greed and will never purchase another ea game no matter what it is. Take a stand, do something about it and stop padding the multi-biillion dollar corp. pockets. greedy *******s

He also led the league in dropped passes, so that makes sense.
And defensive player of the year was only defensive player of the year because he whined like a little girl to the media about Shawne Merriman.

Tony Romo having 75 awareness? He cost his team to advance in the playoffs by fumbling the snap, but give him a break! He helped his team get to the playoffs the moment he took over the starting job. And he made the ProBowl!
Ben Watson 88 stamina and 89 speed? He is the fastest TE playing. He has speed as good as a deep threat WR. Did EA forget that he was the only Patriot player to catch Champ Bailey, a great shutdown corner, to prevent him from scoring a defensive TD in the DEN vs NE playoff game a couple of years ago? Sure Champ got tired in the end but no other Patriot was near him and he has exceptional speed.
EAs ratings are a joke. The only accuarate ratings that I have seen is Tomlinsons and Torry Holts
Oh and the Patriots ratings aren't even that great to say that they have generous stats. Tom Brady's ratings are spot on and Laurence Maroney's is acceptable.

TO deserves to have an 80 hands rating, and Chris Chambers is a top 10 WR. He is similar to Moss in that he makes spectacular plays sometimes, but has not really had a good enough QB to generate consistent production. Chambers is good though.

I can understand the dropped passes but if your going to honor the previous season statistics to a T then how do you make Randy Moss who did nothing last year still get a 94 and great hands? Its like some players get the benefit of the doubt for there body of work, others they look at the previous season stats, others they taked into account the potential of what they should do. Choose one method of stat labeling and stick to it.

Because his QB was a third stringer and his O coordinator is back running his bed and breakfast.

Tony Romo Awareness 75 seems accurate. He had a few good games but the last half of the season he threw more INTs than TDs. So his awareness currently seems average.

No Pro Bowl QB should have 75 awareness. Awareness includes being able to scan the field and feel pressure from defenders, which he is very good at. He can make the simple throw to get the first down. It isn't just about throwing INT vs TDs. His awareness should have been around 85-88

In all fairness you have to admit Romo is not a Pro Bowl QB. And just because a QB makes the Pro Bowl he shouldn't automatically be given an 85-88 rating in awareness.

Your never gonna see Tom Brady with bad ratings on madden , no matter how many bad seasons he has. (assuming he ever has one). We wouldnt want to make the people mad who are buying the game and padding the multi-billion dollar corps pocketsw. They care about one thing and it not stats. ITs MONEY. Keep us happy we keep buying the game. GIving a once pro bowl player thaT EVERYBODY LOVES BAD RATINGS DOESNT HELP SALES FOR NEXT YEARS GAME.

How many times do you see ratings change on players when its new roster download time?

Just on the TO topic, it wasn't like last season was his only time he struggled with dropped balls (although it was the worst, brought on by a broken hand). His career has been plagued by this so that plays into it as well

Randy Moss (although he was 2k's cover boy years ago) is not one of the NFL's poster boys. He made himself look like an azz the last 2 years he was @ minnesota. I think I speaking of the higher profile players. Every one cares about the ratings of the players on there team. But When I go into rosters and see my favorite players ratings suck and there no changing them I am ticked. Dont feel its fair and as the cone with the money buying there game, maybe next year I dont buy it cause I didnt like there ratings system. Theres no way to make everybody happy. All I am saying is EA cares about there pocket book. Which relies heavilly on your opinion. POLITICAL. get it.

I hate how EA overrates almost every player. I like how on 2K5 everyone was in the 70's to 80's range but only the elite players were 90's, unlike in Madden where almost every starter is an 85+ OVR rating.
