Return missed FG's

Has anyone been able to return missed fg's ? I remember hearing you were able to do it in 2k5 and being a huge bears fan I've been wanting to do it really bad. It seems like the computer never attempts longs field goals even with a bronze kicker.

I didn't hear this was gonna be in the game, but my very first online game i went back when some dude kicked a 55 yarder.. and i manually went under the ball in the endzone and pressed triangle (PS3) to catch. IT WORKED! I was like AWWWW YEAH! I only ran it back to like the 25 cuz i was in FG block formation with my generics.

But another game when I tried a long FG, my opponent was smart and used a regular defense formation.. he went back there with a star and caught my short kick.. he ran it back to my side of the field... lol

well, its good to hear that its definately in there but i still haven't been able to do it.

Haven't seen it, but you should probably use a punt return formation if you feel you have a chance of doing it.

What do you mean, exactly?

1.) You just haven't gotten a short kicked FG to try
2.) You did get a short FG to try, but just wasn't able to field the kick?

If #2 is what u mean, then that doesn't surprise me. Because, although I've got 2 out of the 2 I've had the chance to, BOTH times I was amazed I stood in the correct spot to catch it, since there is no ball-landing-target like on passing plays and punts. You really got have a good eye i guess.

I've tried it twice--but both times I would've been better off not touching it.

I always do punt defend on field goals. I have Rocket back there and if you don't touch your returner it automatically goes to the ball if it's short. I returend one to his 7 when his fullback pushed me outta bounds.

I never get the chance to return one. Maybe its because i never play online but the computer nevers attempts anything over 50 yards it seems.

Yeah you can do it. I have not returned a missed FG for a TD but I have return it for abuot 40 yards.

I just picked a regular defense formation and took Lem Bareny and ran back about 20 yards and after the guy missed I just ran under it and press Y.

Not that hard.
