Yo man honestly I keep hearing about the Flea Flicker being too hard to stop, I have ALWAYS stopped it I dunno man I didn't want to tell anyone but I'm starting to feel bad hearing all the people that get cheesed on it...here is how I stop it, and EVERY TIME it's either a pick, or a batted ball (mostly picks though to be honest)
I run a 4-3 defense on 3rd down whenever someone has ran the ball the first two downs (ya know when you can feel the Flicker coming)
Blitz the MLB to take out the RB...other than that, the more important part...MAN DEFENSE!
I got a Gold CB, a Silver CB, a silver SS and a Bronze FS...all you gotta do is play man, your guys will stick to the WRs instead of going for the RB, the thing about the flicker is when you play a zone defense the flea flicker gives most WRs enough time to get behind or inbetween the zone...man defense cuts all that out....that's just what I do and I promise you I haven't had my guys fall for ANY flickers since I've started doing it *knocks on wood*

stopping the flea is not a difficult task.... I rarely get beat by it. It's all about understanding your opponent.

I don't know that the flea flicker had ever been attempted against me.
But I do know that of the many times I've attempted it myself, I've only been successful once.

I must admit that I've cashed in on it from time to time. It's only effective when you know your opponent. If I know you're going to sell out on my run every down then I'm going to maximize the potential of that fact. I will say that on flea flickers my success has probably been around 50 percent. I've run it about 6 times since I've had the game. I see it more as a play to keep the D honest rather than a weapon for cheese.
I really don't see it being cheese either. It's EASILY stopped and nobody has been effective against me with it.

i dont think its cheese either. i just think its cheese when people pull it out when they get desperate thinking they'll get some kind of advantage.

I have yet to get beat by the flea flicker and I don't see the problem everyone is having. Everyone that does the flea flicker is looking for the big play aka the post route. Manually cover that route and they are finished.

People complain about flea flicker because they cant defend it

everytime i get the ball before the 2nd qaurter is over with like 7 seconds left i always do it for some reason the defence always jumps and thats the only time they jump i score on it 95% of the time when there are seconds left in the 2nd quarter

Well, regardless of what you guys are saying, it IS annoying. But who cares? Why wouldn't an NFL coach want to **** you off in real life? It's not like the flea flicker is some made up play, it really exists, and for the same reason (your opponent is excessively playing the run and/or zone defense). If you see a flaw in their defense, why not exploit it?
Now, it's not exactly tough to stop, but it is annoying. When someone is running it 3 times per game, that's breaking an unwritten rule. I'm normally not one to talk about "sim," because the term "sim" refers to a lotttt of things, and I hate the people who use it. But, to be honest, NFL teams would never run a flea flicker more than twice per game. In 2k8, you can't tell your players, hey, watch out for the flea flicker, all you can do is manually control them. Which gets annoying, but if you don't suck, you can control a safety or corner with some decency. When I used to play online, if someone had thrown two flea flickers on me, I manually controlled my SS, and I was just on the lookout for it.
Still, it should not be used more than once per game, that's just obnoxious. Stoppable or not, it crosses a line. Another reason I don't play online...my friends won't run the same gimmick play 5 times in a game.
But, yeah, I agree 100%, it's definitely stoppable.

Yea well i just encountered my first cheeser that likes the no huddle. It was a good game for the most part but then in the 4th QT he was down 20-17 with about 1min left. He ran 3 str8 flea flickers no huddle and got the ball all the way down to the 20. IDK why but he tried it one more time and i finally got a play on the ball and picked it off.
But I would have been ****ed if i lost by a guy doing that.
