They steal the 'bluff' feature, then disable comments so that it can't be exposed to the Maddenites who don't know. . .Wow, this is hilarious. Not a super big deal, but this is funny just by principle.

Only when it doesn't set things back a few years. Over the years VC had to make their game seem simular enough to Madden so it could get them to play it. Because of this I feel it set the 2K series back a few years.

It is.... when they 'borrow' 65% of their features from the competition and use every resource they have & when that isn't enough they buy MORE RESOURCE in an attempt to eliminate that competition so that they can make people forget where those feature came from, & they can claim them as their own. . .:noagree:

Companies should have to credit where they got their ideas from if they didn't come up with it on their own, like you have to cite your sources in books and things.

i hate when 2k moves threads or gets rid of threads here. i can understand if it gets out of hand and people are just name calling left and right, but mostly its just people with strong opinions or facts. like the fact most of that stuff ea is spreading was in 2k or worst yet was in madden but was taken out for god knows what reason. i can understand 06 madden and 2k8 had to take out like franchise (actually i dont) , but gang tackling? how long did madden go without that? stuff that shouldnt even take till 2008 to be in a game.

Yeah that is the one thing I can honestly say has gotten me about Ea since going next gen.Their desire to leave out features previously on the games last gen versions.I mean I know they do it to milk money out of consumers,but I think both companies have been guilty of since the next gen thing started.2K just hasnt made any BIG changes to their titles,but at least have had the features.

EA did "borrow" many things from 2K however, i recall bluffing being in many other football games. Like Midway's arcade football game back when they first released it in the arcade around.... um..... 98 ?

either way... no gamer should be happy when the "more popular" dev company steals from the superior dev company. That would be like... say... iD stealing everything EPIC did with gears of war. I'm sure nothing like that would enter iD's mind because they have pride in what they do and are actually a brilliant dev company so no need to "borrow" from a competing dev team. Another analogy would be the DOA guys "borrowing" from the Virtual Fighter guys or the Tekken guys.

Tru developers create their own shiz.... but we all know what kind of scrub team EA has on their hands.
