Hey guys

Well here is the deal. I played NFL 2k5 up until I got APF. I have not owned madden since 05. Now I have been playing APF every day for what a month now it has been out. I got it day one, I had it preordered. Well last night I wanted to look into getting some franchise in and start work on the new rosters for 08 so I could have NFL2k5 up to date.

I never really compared the two side by side. But there are many different things that I truly like about APF. First on 2k5 the pass rush can be almost INSTANT. Then the WRs don't run the routes quite like I am used to with APF. All the wrs run their routes slow like the generics in APF. Next thing I noticed was the CRAZY hang time on passes. Not nearly as realistic as APF. BUT I got to say the running game on 2k5 I feel is MUCH better. Not quite as fluid as APF but it just feels better. More real, adverage 4.0 yards a carry.

Now 2k5 presentation is just head and shoulds above APF. From suzy sideline report, to the yellow circles highlighting the play, all the way down to weekly wrap ups showcasing the games.

Finial thoughts
APF is MUCH more refined and tweeked for a improved ON THE FIELD experience. Lacking in the presentation department and no franchise mode just kills it.

2K5 is just AMAZING, way way ahead of it time. To this day it still dominates madden. Madden 08 still is lacking features that 2k5 had 4 years ago.

Also on 2k5 zone blocking is badly brocken.say on a stretch to th right the Linebacker will be about 5 yrds diagonally to the right from the tight end. You would think that is who the TE would block right? Wrong the TE will take about 2 steps toward the linebacker then run back to his left like he never saw him. This happens in almost every play for every position. It's line they are old men who can't see more then 5 yrds.

Yea, the blocking is not on par with APF. The pass D is not as bad as I remember it also. The thing that drove me nuts after going back is how much the ball FLOATS when u put air under it. Throw a lob and man it just hangs FOREVER.

It is my all time favorite game and still to this day has the greats franchise EVER. BUT if the game play refined like APF I would be in heaven. Walking on cotton candy, smoking the sweet cheba, dancing with unicorns. BUT no 2k had to add legends. Should of skip that entirly spent the time and money making the most deep franchise, complete custom options for every aspect and do just generic names. VERY similar to the NCAA games where we can change names and stuff on our own.
