Im sorry but I usually dont do this.
NDN0249 has almost ruined this game. He has all silver, bronze, lineman with Earl Campbell and runs 2 plays the whole game.
And guess what
They cant be stopped
I tried about 30 different formations with different blitzes, man coverage, and zone and can't stop it.
Football is not meant to be played this way and Earl Campbell needs an update so hes not rigged.
For all of you who are gunna bash me:
First, I am one of the biggest 2k fans on this board.
Second, I am not bad at this game.
Third, I love 2k Sports and this game.
Add this ****er to the cheese list cuz hes a *****

Thanks for the heads up. That's messed up that you had to go through that. If he has all the legends on offense then you should have lit his defense up the same way. What system are you playing?

Maybe its me but why is this considered cheese? Its a ridiculous strategy but it is HIS strategy. Not everyone is going to have the same strategy when it comes to building teams and if that is what works for him then hooray for him.
Personally I would have eaten his weak defense for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I played him. And goaline d while controlling the safety to force sweeps to the middle would have gotten a few stops. Not everytime but enough to make him lose if his defense is that week. (without stars)

He ran these two plays
Swing Pass Right - Which I countered with a goaline zone strong side (only problem is it takes 4 guys to tackle Earl)
Stretch Right/Left - Same thing
The final score was 55 - 54 (he won)
I ate his defense up - 350 Yards Rushing 200 Passing

It's a cheese because he was expecting a true sim game to play. I wouldn't want to play him either. I want to play with a gamer who plays with having fun for both he and his opponent in mind. He shouldn't be conservative but play with a good strategy, find different ways to attack a defense. That's what makes the game enjoyable and thats what give you positive ratings.

there's no doubt id lose. but i love the challenege of stopping a high powered offence.. when ever im in the lobby.. im always looking for the most difficult opponent.
but if he really only picks two plays.. manually put your guy where the ball is going.

honestly i dont think thats cheese... It sorta like what the baltimore ravens had in that year jamal lewis had 2000+ yards. DATS a great strategy honestly.

Oh and he NEVER had a 2000 yards season. Never had more than 19 TDs. He was a beast BUT not to the extent they make him out to be in the game.

Cheese = No
Cheap = Yea sounds like it.
Campbells career numbers.....I hardly find people stopping him for 4.0 per carry sooo yea I think he is slightly overrated. cause all the teams he played were not STACKED on Defense like you need to be in the game to contain him.

He NEVER ran for over 2000 yards. Never rushed for more than 19 TDs. Normal yards adverage around 1500 a season, when he was not sitting out. You can see 3 of those season he did not play much. So should he be the force he is in the game. I don't agree. I think he should be down graded some.

its really not that hard to stop him u pick zone coverage in preferably a 3-4 then u manually assign 3 or four linebackers to triple cover him so as soon as the play starts all of them are going towards him & if you have lloyd or tuggle (or both) its really not that hard to stop

Campbell possessed a rare combination of speed and power, and was a prolific running back from 1978 through 1985. His outstanding single-season performance in 1979 earned him all-pro, Pro Bowl, and NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors. It was also the second of three consecutive seasons in which he led the league in rushing. Only Jim Brown had previously accomplished that feat. Campbell led the NFL in rushing in 1978, 1979, and 1980. He played in five Pro Bowls and finished his career with 9,407 yards and 74 touchdowns rushing along with 806 yards on 121 receptions. In 1980, Campbell's best year in the NFL, he ran for 1,934 yards including four 200-yard rushing games, including a personal best 206 yards against the Chicago Bears. Despite playing against stacked defenses and being gang-tackled nearly every time he carried the ball (a then-record 373 times), Campbell managed to average 5.2 yards per carry and scored 13 rushing touchdowns in 1980 alone.
