I think things are going pretty well for 2K. The game is great (despite a lack of franchise-type features), sles are pretty good, and Madden is the worst it has ever been.
The time is now to jump on this and add something to the mix to help generate even more interest. I would like to see some DL content soon even if it is just tolkien (i.e. uniform options, a player or two, MORE CITIES TO CHOOSE FROM, etc.). I think this would get some additional buzz about the game and get even more people hooked.
I think that there are many people who fear that APF will sit as it is without any changes or plans for a 2K9 game. It would be a great time to assure people that never playing Madden again will not hurt their chances for fresh experiences.
Lets get something out soon!

im rooting for 2k....
its just sad a bad (according to you all, i think its ok) game so greatly outsold a great APF game.....
hopefully 2k9 is better though

Is there a 2K9 in the works? Sorry if I am a bit late but please provide a link that leads to a confirmation on this.

There is no news on a 2K9 game other than some speculation that there will not be one. I think 2K needs to step up and not be so darn secretive about it all.

Agreed, they probably can't add any new legends but definitely new logos, names, stadiums. Or how about a livery editor like Forza 2?

No confirmation... but notice the sticky asking for ideas for 2K9 stuff.
When rumors of a generic 2K8 were going on, they had a sticky there for 2K8 ideas. Thats why there's the rumor now, because the 2K fans here remember this from a year ago. 2K never says anything public because EA steals everything immediately. It happened before and there was no 2K7 because of it.

EA has stolen everything 2K has announced they will do. They are either paranoid, or actually have something to protect. Either way, it's understandable considering the amount of stuff EA has stolen from 2K. i.e. Arena, CFL, NFL, NCAA, and hundreds of legends.
