John Elway can not rollout?

I call RO plays , and he runs them like standard playfakes.
It kind of makes running that Shanahan offense impossible.
Rollouts and Stretch plays :thumbsdow

If I want to run a rollout with a scrambler I have to use someone like Young or Montana, and I want Rocket Arm power, not Laser Accuracy :(

you're probably messing up the roll out animation...you can't touch the joystick...you have to let him drop back automatically

No he is not messing it up. It is an Elway thing. Marino does the same thing. Try it. Go into practice mode with Marino and call a roll out play. He just does a play fake and drops back. I figured Marino did this because he is a pocket passer, but I am surprised to see that this is the case with Elway too.

I think hes right. I believed I tried out Elway and stopped using him for the same reason. Dan Marino does the same thing, but for much more obvious reasons.

Try a rollout play without a playaction.

Marino doesnt even playfake right let alone rollout after doing it. I could live with Marino not being able to rollout but not playfaking .... deal breaker.

They really messed up if Elway doesnt rollout well.

I tried the same thing in practice mode, you're right. He's a scrambler who can't do a rollout play. Weird.

I don't know if 2K intended, but Marino was not very good at playaction in real life. Some might say he was even awful at it.
