give me a break guys ... you act like getting it out on tuesday is doing us a huge service. it was advertised as being available wednesday, and then we were told that it would be available a few days later, not 5 whole business days.

I don't even bother anymore. Truth is that they were promised on Wednesday and that came and went. Anything else is just unacceptable. I hope and pray that these Rosters are complete because I don't want to be here when they are missing someone......you guys had enough time to ensure that these Rosters are as accurate as we expect them to be.

I was told this roster had a number of rating tweaks in addition to personnel changes.

I don't know when / if we'll post the changes file, but I'll ask.

Roster Updates will never be able to be used online in ESPN NFL Football correct? Even if they wanted to that wouldn't be possible right, as I assume that the online rosters are looked for on the cd so you can't change that. Next year, make SURE there are updated online rosters. Basically you guys should make it so the HOST of the game decides which rosters to use, for example: original rosters, week 1 updated rosters, week 8 etc.. and then both teams would have to use those rosters.


I haven't even checked yet on this game but I dont think it exists, can you MAKE your own plays, if not do it next year.

This roster update is garbage. Reggie Swinton is still on the Cowboys. The Falcons still don't have Woodrow Dantzler. And the Carolina Panthers ratings barely changed. There are a bunch of other errors but I don't feel like listing them. This sucks!

Hey mix you should be happy, the falcons rating should drop 20 points per player just because of the horrible coaching.

yeah, i dunno about this update either..
not that i use the baltimore ravens all that much, but they are still missing a key free safety, will demps (whom is a 2nd year player who started quite a few games last year!) and they have ed reed on the ravens, but if you go look in the free agent pool, there is another "ed reed".. strange.. looks like those extra couple days of "testing" didn't work???

I agree that Sega/ESPN can to a better job/more accurate job with their updates... but believe me, my friends who LUV Madden are just as ****ed about their updates.

bobo, your name should be BOZO. that was the only mistake i found w/ their roster. i did have to update it a couple days(like 5 transactions) to get it updated to the 10th of oct but that really wasnt a big prob. if u actually have ever kept up w/ the MANY dealings of the nfl and tried updating a roster YOURSELF, u would actually THINK about what u say as their are hundreds of peeps coming in and out of the nfl. STOP the complaining u moron...its a good update. i will get the sharkport 2 version of mine up on some site in the very near future. espn nfl WONT have online updated rosters but it will next yr. it should also have create a play.. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SEGA TAKES STUFF OUT OF THEIR GMS..create a play was on nfl 2k1...wtf happened. the disc is big enough to hold EVERYTHING. madden has A LOT more stuff on its disc in terms of options like this. even if it wasnt a big enough disc, sega should go to the 8 gig discs or 9.4 gig disc...this is becoming UNACCEPTABLE. not being able to edit all rookies or all legend tms IS BOGUS. i KNOW madden and its ncaa counterpart DOESNT give u memory full errors when changing all their plyr names. fix this sh-- SEGA

i think the roster updates are great even if not fully correct. I used to do this my self since they started making games with creat a player. It took time a lot of time i would do that for days at a time. I would seem i took more time change the player and ratings and things and hardly get to play the damn game. so i will not complain like most of these people online because you are only name a few things wrong so change the damn player or create the damn player your self or will that be to much work for you.

I mean seriously just a few years ago before the dreamcast you would buy a game for 49.99 plus tax and play that game until the next one came out no one had an updated roster other than pc games and they were made buy the consumers. the first console game to have an updated roster was made by vc. Now people want more and more from them yet nba live is the number 1 selling basketball game. It was all offence no d no updated rosters but it sold like crazy **** last month you would have to shell out 44.99 for that game and it was not up to par but no complaints. now people want to complain about some glitches and roster update that if you playing sport games for years like me. your complaining about something you never complained about when you bought these sport games over the last 8 years

The Swinton trade from Dallas to Green Bay happened in week 3 we are in week 6. This didn't happen last week as the ZigZag proposes. Also Woodrow Danzler was picked up for the falcons before week 1. Yes it is nice to have roster updates but how hard can it be to at least get the rosters correct? When that is someones actual paid JOB? I would completely understand if sombody off the street was creating them for everyone I would not complain. But it is an expected item for football games now. There shoud be no excuse for having an incorrect roster released. That is just sorry lazy work if you ask me. Not to mention where is Zurial Smith for the Cowboys? he is nowhere to be found either, :?: and he has been there since camp began.

I agree that roster updates should be fairly easy to do especially when they are gonna only do about 4 total for the whole year by the pace they are going at. Why dont they just go to nfl.com or espn.com (duh!) and get the latest rosters and just plug in the players on the team they are supposed to be on? Actually rating the players must be the hardest part of the whole process because how do you keep from over rating a player?

I dont think people that are upset about the roster updates are spoiled or anything. I think theyre right. There should be a schedule for the updates and they should be held to that schedule. It shouldnt be this hard to get a roster update out every 4-6 weeks. Its not like a patch or something where they have to test it.

Most of this is useless to me anyway since I play mostly online and since you cant use them online I dont really care how accurate they are. Another thing they need to include is an option to allow you to select a certain roster to auto update when you first start the game. the few times Ive done a roster update and wanted to play a game with them I hated having to load them every time. just a minor gripe since it only takes like 2 seconds to do it.

If and when they do allow us to use updated rosters online Im pretty sure its gonna be the latest roster update that youll have to use. I doubt they are gonna give you the option to make someone else play with a two week old roster.

the only real reason I can tell you that they dont let you do this is because some people will put WRs at LB or DB when they play online.

Compromise: Lobbies with the Stock rosters and Lobbies with the 'Current' rosters for whatever week that is. Much like the 'First person' lobbies.

Sounds better....but i still dont like it i think if they wanna go more sim then they will make them mandatory and people will play with which ever roster has their team rated the best....you think raiders fans will play with their current rosters? when they are rated like 95+ in stock roster?? YA RIGHT.

yep, you should have to dl your the current roster before you are able to play another online game. That way everyone is using the CURRENT rosters.

I'll ALWAYS use the pats no matter what. They have a friggin good team in case you dont pay attention to the NFL buddy. Of course ESPN NFL football, drastically underrates asante samuel and to some extent eugene wilson, our rookies who are playing pretty damn good.



I dont see how the roster ratings will go DOWN. Our db's aren't much worse without otis and lawyer milloy (milloy is overrated in this game) since wilson and samuel and poole have been playing very good football. We also have Ted Washington (albeit injured) which drasitcally improves the d-line. Mike Cloud is much faster than Antowain Smith and makes the running game better...



Pats are a better team now than the team that is on the original rosters in this video game, of course they wont see t that way because if you are a rookie not picked in the 1st round, you dont get **** for credit no matter how well you have played.

Not to be a homer or anything, but do you think the Redskins are really the 20th ranked team in the NFL? Even with the Bucs Debacle yesterday the Skins are that close to being 5-1.

Personally, I use them no matter what. But I understand that there are things that will always be disagreed with in terms of rankings.

if anything i'd be MORE scared of Miami at this point, they are mashing ppl pretty well.
