Maybe 6 weeks or so before 2K9 comes out.

I predict people will be complaining about a lack of info from 2k, saying that the game is going to be practically the same game as 2k8 with a few minor upgrades. There will be a ton of people saying that "this is the year" where live got their stuff together, and they're really going for realistic gameplay and it's looking good. There will also be people saying "I've always been a big 2k fan, but I gotta admit Live's lookin good this year. I'm gonna give it a look, cuz up to now 2k is really dropping the ball."

I made a similar topic in the APF forum, and both will probably be true.

I'm pretty sure 2K will start work on 2K9 as soon as 2K8 is released. They most likely will be at E3 next year. I'll be dammed if we have to wait till September for a freakin gameplay video next year.

we are impatient because no real info is given. 40 days till release and still nothing. Every other game company informs the public on progress through interviews, article, and actual gameplay vids. 2k seems to miss the point of product promotion for some reason. We are all willing to drop 59.99 on this game but we expect info on whats happening atleast. Thats one good thing that will happen if EA buys take 2 , If they keep nba2k in production we will be updated every week as opposed to 3 "sneak" peeks and low quality pics almost one month away from release. Its a good game but damn do you have to hide everything till 2 weeks from release? Or is the game not close to being finished? we got games coming out in summer 2009 that have already showed us more than we have seen from 2k9

lol we got 2 little 30 second teasers, 1 Video that had to be leaked and 2k bashed that vid. Every picture that we got 2k has said they had nothing to do with it or just said "O those pics are months old" And most of the hand ons are all the same. We have literally like 1 minute of 2k's work so far. So with that I don't see us being spoiled I see it as We are just not getting -BAD WORD- from 2k as of yet. But I do think after NHL is totally out the way then we will start seeing things...

hah, no but once you're around here long enough you start to get a feel for how things work. This actually would have been even cooler if the mods weren't doing such a good job at keeping the forums fairly clean of live stuff(last year there wasn't a whole lot of moderation going on), but still everyone is aware that people are thinking this way.

well somebody is wrong. we haven't gotten a gameplay vid yet and september is almost here. looks like they're going on almost the same schedule a last year except this year they were at e3 (barely).

i think we should just wait..there trying, at least their making the game for us, yea they didn't release a lot of stuff, but maybe their busy..im pretty sure nhl isn't done so there's more to do for them..and arguing here wont help..arguing and complaining wont make tehm work faster, and if they were to work faster it might turn out a piece of *3k9.

i agree that the arguing about it is getting us nowhere. but i wouldn't just say because they are being silent that they busy with the game. they were silent with 2k8 but it didn't show that they had been busy with the game. 2k8 still had plenty of problems and wasn't any better (and mabye a little worse) than 2k7. i feel that they are not releasing any gameplay vids because they don't want to. plain and simple as that. i don't think they're busy or lazy but they just don't want to. but i wish they would give me something to be excited about because that last teaser didn't tease me at all. it still looked ugly, the crowd looked dead, and the commentary was nothing but reruns. hopefully the game comes out better than what i think it will because i wasn't too happy with 2k8.

hopefully this game won't be a dunk fest and a lead pass abusive game because if it is it will ruin all of the features that they have put in the game. i don't want them pulling a live and piling features over a broken game.

they might be lazy..but im not gonna complain..maybe bad luck..im just gonna wait and try to get my school work and grades better than last year..practice for basketball season..and go on with life..and then when the game comes out i want to put that disk in my 360 and i want it to be amazing

well that's your opinion and i respect that but my opinion 2k was a lot better as far as offline gameplay goes. the game was a lot more sim instead of constant lead passing, dunking, and back door cuts. and that's just the cpu. online both games were horrible even though when a sim game was played on 2k7 online it was a little better imo. 2k8 kind of became a childs game imo. the defensive assist, the easy passing, and the easy dunking made it so anyone who put the game in could easily. i was looking forward to a great challenge but imo 2k8 became a cheesefest. there are a lot of flaws in 2k8s gameplay if you ask me. if 2k9 was 2k8s gameplay with better graphics, a changable shot, and online 5 on 5 it wouldn't be a very good game imo. the issues need to be adressed first. we can't pull a president bush and ignore the problems by talking about other things lol.
