You have to use the teams default playbook, but you can edit it.

So do you just create your team yourself and then pick that in the pregame lobby? I cant figure out how this is going to work. If we are allowed to edit our playbooks, can we also sub our players wherever we want pre-game?

You will automatically be placed into your bracket with your roster of choice. From the tourney page, you will be able to make edits to your playbook.

NVM - Each checked-in Entrant will select the team of their choice to compete with throughout the Playoffs when they check-in for the Tournament. Upon check-in users will be asked to select from one of thirty pre-defined teams to play as during the playoffs.

2K is officially retarded for making this decision. what happened? did they recently hire an exec from EA?

Can we adjust our depth chart and make substitutions from there as well?

Also, if two people are the same team will their generic players be different?

Don't want to sound like a broken record but is there ANY WAY we can use our own teams, WITHOUT created players?

Like someone said in another thread. If you have a team with Campbell on it then you already threw "balance" out the window, especially if this thing it going to be on all-pro aka "run like the wind" difficulty.

Most teams have some type of DT or DE on them, at least 2 positions per team. Campbell is going to have a rough time running up the middle. Just makes sure you have the outsides covered, and he shouldn't be much of a problem. The real problem with the teams is not going to be the running game, it's going to be the passing game. There are several teams with a Gold QB / Gold WR with another 2 Star WRs or a WR/TE. How in the world can you stop 3 Star players in the open field with nothing but scrubs on your team? Any decent player will be able to exploit that all day long.

IMHO - A passing team will win this tournament.

Couldn't agree more.

I actually like the setup where you have to pick preset teams because it makes it a little more fair. In this game certain things are too powerful. For example you should not be able to score 28+ points a game with only 3 bronze legends on offense, but there are people who can. This way the tournament will reward people who are creative and understand football well enough to adapt their playstyle to their personel and to make intelligent adjustments on D, instead of rewarding people who figure out 4 or 5 plays that the computer doesn't defend well and using them over and over and stacking their D with 7 or 8 legends.

I agree tpaterniti, but playing against passing teams with 3 WR's when most teams only have a single CB, and some have NO CB what-so-ever, is going to be tough. There is one team that doesn't have a single CB, free safety, or strong safety. I ranked the teams giving them points on offense for WRs, QBs, RB, TEs, and FB. 3 points for gold, 2 for silver, and 1 for bronze. A couple of the passing teams scored a 10, with most at 8 or 9. the balanced teams had one 8, the rest were 7 and below, and the running teams were all 7 and below. What does this mean? Simply that the passing teams have more weapons available to them on offense. With no real secondary in this game, it's going to be tough to stop any of the passing teams.

The secondaries are going to be shredded. Plain and simple. Plus, if someone drops enough guys to sort of slow down the passing game, there are legends on the o-line so anyone with a decent back will be able to pick up yards once the coverage drops off.
