I like CH 2K7 gameplay better than NBA 2K7. Especially the low post game.

Here is an old comparison I made

Jump passing
CH is better in this area. The success rate of jump passes in NBA 2k7 is just too unforgiving. Even a guy who is a bad passer should be able to make an easy pass in the air if the guy they are passing it to is right in front of them. On Hof in NBA 2k7 a poor passer is almost guaranteed to throw the ball out of bounds no matter how easy the pass is. Also I don’t complain about ratings often but how the hell does Sergio Rodriguez have a 72 in passing. He is one of the best passers in the league. Maybe his awareness rating should suck because he is a rookie but his actual pass rating should be in the 90s easy.

CPU passing
CH2k7’s main weak area is the the CPU’s passing. They cant inbound or defend inbound passes at all. NBA 2k7 is slightly better.

Allyoops

Same as jump passing on HoF Alleyoops are too hard. You shouldn’t need an Allstar PG and a Dunk Contest winner to complete a lob pass. CH 2k7 is just about perfect on the hardest level.

Cameras
When I saw CH2k was missing my favorite 200ft camera I was a little ****ed but then I noticed the Nosebleed camera was better than NBA 2k7s. So nice Nosebleed camera. Works well online

Dunking on guys

CH2k7 wins going away. Its much harder to dunk on people. Its much more realistic. Its so difficult that you even get an achievement for dunking on a guy that’s 6’8 or taller. One issue though is that its too easy to drive baseline. CH2k7 got rid of that stupid bread and butter hook but they replaced it with too many baseline layups that are hard to defend.

Charging
Not nearly enough charges in CH 2k7. There should be more charges in the college game not less. Easy slider fix.. offline

Shooting success

Again college game is better but its not that great unless you are playing on Mop. Threes fall a little too easy on All-American but defense seems to matter more.

Long passes
Too easy in NBA 2k7 just right in CH 2k7

Shot blocking
Another area where NBA 2k7 is kinda weak. Its also too easy to foul three point shooters. Both games need a ‘block stick’.

Drop Step
Works too well in NBA 2k7 and CH 2k7 but better in CH 2k because its harder to finish and dunk off verts.

On the Fly Subs

The pro game is better. Give NBA 2k7 on the fly matchups and pressure and it would be perfect.

Also CH 2k7 does not have that money hookshot.

All and all CH 2k7 is the better game of basketball.

I like CH2k7 better. Once it came out NBA 2k7 got shelved.

You just gotta love 365 teams going after one trophy.

Good post Xboxing2006...I don't completely agree, but very cool with the details.

COLLEGE HOOPS HAD BETTER presentation even the coach was animated over plays that would happen on the court.

The more a game looks like it is being wathed on real tv the better it is.

And plus the gameplay was awesome. and real in physics. You couldnt just go to the hole you had to manuver you way by passing with behind the back passes and screens.

I've always liked college a little better, but the nba game feels a little smoother.

Nice review Xboxing2006.

One thing I was going to say was that C-Hoops semed a little harder last year than NBA2k7...probably the lack of Superstar power.......

I prefer CH2k7 over NBA2K7 especially for the post game. The lay ups are way better in CH too and it's less a dunk fest so it makes the game more realistic. Hopefully NBA2k8 will adjust on those areas and we could have 2 great games.

Choop is better hands down; if you play someone in that game with equal teams and they beat you, then they are better.

In NBA 2k7 it's not like that at all. They can do all sorts of cheese. I'm glad choop took awhile to come out last year cuz they fixed almost all of the bugs.

personally college basketball is where it is at for me. now i have been watching the video's for NBA this year and from what i saw it doesn't look bad at al. i might give college a run this year, but i will still play like 15 seasons in college hoops to my 1 1/2 in NBA then just sim to upload my draft classes.

i'm addicted to college2k7 and i'm not even a college bball fan anymore. i love the nba but i think the nba game is really bad. i want to like it soooo much but it's like the players are on ice skates. they're so hard to control. but maybe i'm doing something wrong.
for example, when you are trying to develop a player's shot timing-even on that screen it is so hard for me to just run up to the circle and take the shot. the guy starts goin nuts with thse stutter moves. i dont want to stutter step!!!! is this just me controlling it badly?

I have never played the full version of NBA 2K7, only the demo. I own the full version of CH2K7 but it died on me last week. From what I have played I enjoy CH much more than NBA.
