I'm just wondering because I was up to 120'th something after the first day. Then I fell back to 500th and something, now I'm down to 608th place even though I have like 23 games played and around 10-12'ish wins.

I see people with just two games played ranked higher then me so I'm wondering what determines these rankings?

Rankings are based off who you play. If you beat a high ranked opponent, the more points you get. If you beat a lower ranked opponent, the less points you receive. At the same time, if you lose to a lower ranked opponent, you will lose more points as if you lose to a higher ranked player, you lose less. It all depends on who you play really.

it has everything to do with who you play, and how many games you have won and lost. if youve played 23 games and your 10-13, 11-12, or 12-11, then you arent playing well for starters. Second of all, if youve lost to people ranked lower than you on the boards, your really going to plummet. And finally, if your record is just barely over 500 like yours, each day other people play more games, approach the number 10, and/or win the majority of thei games, they are going to pass you up. For example, im 16-3 since this tournament started, and I am stuck at 68th. I won two games today and didnt budge. The board is getting to the point peoples positions are settled, and for many of us, we dont really need to play much more.

Those people with 2 games ranked higher than you are probably 2 and 0, but it doesnt matter, if they dont play 10 games, they are out.

Well, it's kinda hard when I won three games this evening.

Two of them were against much lower ranks (one was ranked like 100 something and the other 300 something). Both guys pulled their connections on me so those wins went bye.

Then my latest win went all the way, but mysteriously just doesn't show up on the lobby or in my w/l bracket.

Pretty much the only way you can go back up is if you beat somone high up, but they probabbly wont play you. I am #5 and the only way a game would be worth playing in my position is if the person was in the top 10.

I think it is kind of unfair, they should have reset the live rankings too because people that were ranked high before the tournament started on Live were able to play similar players, thus giving them an oppurtunity to be placed higher on the leaderboard.

They should have promoted this tournament as soon as the game came out so people who didnt hear about this game possibly would have bought it over NCAA 08 and me myself would have played more games online. It would of gave us all some type of incentive.
