Recently EA posted on their website questions to hockey fans for their nhl 09 version. EA posted questions regarding music played a home games during goals, individual player chants, horn sounds, etc.

It is obvious that EA is taking the next steps to continue the growth of their hockey game but does it mean it will be a good hockey game...only time will tell.

I think it is a good thing when companies ask the people who buy their game specific questions to help them get better.

Now I know that 2k cares and reads the forums, but is a specific player chant important to me...only when the game conveys the main purpose

As a Blackhawks fan since childhood...i do think it would be cool if when Detroit player scores a hat trick that squid was thrown on the ice..just not against the Hawks.

Less then two weeks till 2K hockey...

Yeah well Ea does generally deliver when it comes to listening to the fans. Hate em or love em they are not the same team as Madden's and they deliver year after year.

They are in year 2 of their 3 year plan and it looks like this year will be a winner and next year will blow doors down !

Is it really the same team???

Last year NHL 07 was made at EA Montreal and this year NHL 08 is made at EA Vancouver.

I know that at least some of the developers for the EA Hockey game are from the MVP series which explains why the game has made such big strides. As far as the EA hockey team listening before the last two games,I dont think so.The series stayed stale until 2004 and didn't make to much change for 05 and 06.
