View Full Version : Why do people think using a gold RB is cheese or glitching?

I think this was the most ridiculous statement I have heard thus far.
A player getting mad at another player because they use earl campbell or O.J. or whatever gold RB they want.
I have played many players who used them and was able to stop them. Just because you are having trouble stopping a player doesn't mean it's cheese or gltiching.
Cheese is using shotgun formation all game and chucking the ball up in the air everytime, using hurry up offense a majority of plays and hiking while a player is in motion.
Gltiching is the FG/ Punt block glitch ( i'm not saying how for those that don't know yet), and freezing the game.
If you are losing 35 -7 in the 3rd quarter because you threw 4 interceptions using the same play over and over again just drop the game and move on with your life. Don't be a sore loser...
I am not pointing any one player out ,JAYDIESEL 215.

You a clown I played you, and remember you from 2k3. You're definately far from sim, very far from it so your post means nothing.
I belive I even blocked you becuase of some ish you were doing all game, I think dropping back 15+ every down with cunningham on rol outs and bombing every play.
Yeah I rememebr you, you had a generic HB, get out of here clow, far from sim.
I'm not even going to throw more dirt on your name, but you did alot more that that in the game as well cheeser

I wouldn't worry about it, but keep in mind people will tell you they have stopped no huddle all game, prevented blocked FG/Punts as well.
I've never seen anyone complain about using OJ.
I have heard about Campbell, because the attributes do appear to be overloaded.
Just because a person has stopped Earl doesn't mean nothing is wrong.
Maybe that person they played wasn't experienced enough to display the super human capabilities. Unless they are the same opponent it is really hard to make comparisons.
No huddle is not cheese to me. Yes even all game. It is a style and I can't knock people for that. Shotgun is in no way cheese.
I know about the FG glitch, but I haven't heard about a punt glitch yet so I can't speak on that.
I do agree 100% with your closing statement.
Most of the time people will do just that and instead of blaming their gameplan they create a new cheese or glitch.
In the NFL 4 INTs would normally be considered a loss so like you said they need to move on evalute why they loss and be more flexible with their gameplanning.

I give Bamboo credit, his silver created Bo Jackson is a beast. His either using a turbo controller or he taps the **** out of the A button.

LOL
Now Turbo Controller? Is there such a thing?
LOL -- I did create a Bo Jackson and actually I don't use him very well.
He has two attributes and realistic size.
Is that a glitch now also?
What does that have to do with anything?
I played some player the other day that did a TE reverse with Mike Ditka. I could not stop this play. Mike Ditka had some 180- 200+ yards rushing. For many people they would yell cheese, glitch, blah blah blah. I played the game. It was a fun game, not very realistic, but fun.
Bottom line is this is a video game. The 2k team created players to use and gave you the ability to create other players. Play your opponent with respect, respect the players you create with realistic sizes, and just move on and play.
Lose or Win just move on and learn from it.
P.S. I still can't figure out how to stop that Ditka end around!
GOOD SENSE -- I agree with you. I really don't care, but the player was so ridiculous with his accusations. The hurry up is effective as long as the person using it doesn't snap the ball before your defenders get back to their positions. This is an AI problem. The offense rushes to the line and the defense walks slowly back to their positions. I have had people hike to get the automatice offsides/ encroachment call. That's really the only thing I don't like about it.

OK
I wasn't sure how to take that.
But I don't have a turbo controller.

I was just about to say this. Using shotgun all game and throwing it nearly every play is by no means cheese. What if I have 3 legend receivers and a gold QB and want to utilize that to its fullest instead of handing off to a bronze RB? That's the stupidest accusation of cheese I've seen yet.
And no huddle all game is not cheese at all, just talk to the Bills of the early 90's.

Running the no-huddle the entire game is CHEESE. Because, the defense fatigues twice as fast as the offense in this game. Also, there is some sort of glitch where when you do the no-huddle you can snap it before the defense can get set and will get called offsides everytime.

you guys are taking this cheese crap to far!
1 using earl campbell isnt cheese!
2 shotgun isnt cheese!
3 no huddle offense (only if they snap the ball when your defender
is lining up & they do the crap on purpose)
4 every rb~ EVERY RB in this game can be stopped!!!
yes earl campbell is tough to stop i agree~ but if it's 3 and 4
and they have campbell then maybe you better think about picking
a dime defense!!!
5 fg glitch~ imo it isnt a glitch, ive had people block fg's but ive never
had 2 in one game, so to me it isnt a glitch!!!
just my opinions

There is a FG glitch, but I am not saying how it is done and believe me it is obvious.
The Shotgun isn't cheese and I don't care really, it's when a player uses shotgun to just throw a bomb to one player with the same play all game. If you use shotgun to pick a part defense that's realistic.
Frankly I don't care, but if a person is going to call me cheese because I have Earl Campbell on my team that's ridiculous.
The bottom line is just play and take the loss or win with respect.
Hurry up is only cheese if you use it to draw an offsides or snap the ball while players are moving to their positions. For the purpose of crossing up A.I. not for the purpose of crossing up your opponent is cheese.

This is my favorite, the I have so and so on my team why shouldn't I use him, as if you are using pre-set teams. Of course you have him on your team. YOU put him there so you could use him for that purpose. I am not saying anything about cheese, but this argument is dumn and I cringe when I hear it almost as much as when some rude ******* in the media says "I was just doing my job" as if just because someone pays you to be a rude ******* automatically makes it OK to act like one. People get payed to kill other people. Does that make it alright? Come one, why not? After all, they were "just doing their job".

the only thing thats cheese to me.. is when these top ranked guys actually think they're good.. they run the same 3 plays
other than that.. i dont care if people do hurry up. i prfer them not to.. but i dont see nothing wrong with it.

I don't mind playing against Earl, I just hate when they run the goal line formation every play.

I don't understand this paragraph at all. Are you saying my argument that "doing what your team was meant to do" is dumb?

too easy to run with a gold RB in this game... it's cheese because peeps know that so all they do when they have a gold RB is run the rock every single play. that's when you know it's "cheese".
if they have a gold RB but run here and there then you know the dude is not trying to "cheese" you. but really... it's too damn easy too run with a gold RB in this game.

I have stopped a gold RB many times. Yes they break loose occasionally, but it can be stopped.
The thing is mixing it up and not doing the same play over and over. Frankly I don't really care either way and when someone does the same play over and over it eventually be stopped.
By the way there is a stamina factor.
So for anyone who thinks because having a Gold RB is a glitcher or cheeser you really are missing the point and only making excuses.

Gold RB can be stopped , you people just suck IMO..
Just noticed with Means and Rathman running combo my running game has immensly improved since going with OJ as my RB..
