Before playing APF, I would have considered myself more knowledgeable about football than the next guy. But since APF, I have learned even more about this great game. I'm 29, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the older legends in the game not named Mike Ditka and Jim Butkus. I've enjoyed looking these guys up and learning about them from way back.
Although, I might have to take Terry McDaniel off my team now since I just found out he was on the Raiders.

Too bad 2K can't incorporate highlight films the way Madden has. It's a shame EA has all the right to everything NFL.

I totally agree. iTunes look up "America's Game" Great documetaries for $2 apiece. I have about 25 of them and they are pretty much all fantastic.

A History Lesson...
No... True Niners fans LOVE the Raiders. Didn't you know? Bill Walsh's first pro job was as an assistant coach - to the Raiders. While there, he would look through the playbook and noticed there were certain plays he liked. He saw potential in them.
He asked Al Davis about them and Big Al told him they were all crap. He hated them. Just a bunch of rinky dink dump off passing plays. None of the long bombs he preferred. He said that every team had them in their playbook, but no one used them. They were only in the playbook as a source of reference so that the Defense would recognize them as they developed on the field.
Bill Walsh took notes though, kept track of all those plays that "nobody uses" and put them in his personal archive. Those were the plays that became the foundation of what would later become renowned as his "West Coast Offense". The very Offensive Scheme that helped him lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl so many times. The very same plays that his own assistant coaches took with them to other teams. Teams that also ended up going to Super Bowls - and winning.
Yes. I love the Raiders. Just think, without those Raiders, maybe the Cowboys would have five more Super Bowls instead.

I never looked at it like that. But asking me to not only start appreciating the Raiders but AL DAVIS too? I don't think I can do it. Sorry.
