Situation question: What's the right thing to do?

So I'm up by like 20 points with a minute left in the fourth quarter. I'm tryin to run the clock out with Means and he's callin his timeouts. On 3rd and inches all I need to do is convert and I can just kneel.

But on that play I break one loose with Means. Should I just dive (therefore not get the TD) and kneel the rest of the clock out, or just run it in for the TD (like any NFL coach would do). I chose to score the TD, and he wasn't mad about it, which is cool, but I'm still wondering if that was the right thing to do.

you should of just kneeled the whole time its not like he could score 20 points in 1 min anyway .

If he is calling timeouts to stop the clock and try to get the ball back, keep driving the ball until he runs out of timeouts. And if you score, that's his fault for giving you the extra time to score.

I call timeout sometimes knowing I will never make up 20 points in a minute but to try something else out on offense. New plays or rating players etc. If I am getting killed by a certain play style I want to try and crack it because sooner or later I will see it again.

if they call time outs... run it in.... once a dude was calling time outs when I was kneeling on the 1 yard line... after the 2nd time out.. I just ran it in. it was a 2k5 league game.... after the game... dude cried to the commish. once the commish found out he was calling time outs he said... not a worry you should do whatever you want when that happens.

Yeah I had a guy do that same prob yesterday up by 25 and 29 seconnds left and he calls timeouts so I just threw a 18 yrd touchdown pass and beat him 42-10 but then he left me negative feedback and I gave him positive. I hate it when that happens
