Should a hockey title be slider driven? 2k I have always tweaked the gameplay, but never have I played it and disliked the barebones style it presents. After I master the game (because of frequent play with friends and online) I can slide it and have a damn good time playing a harder, faster, albeit whatever you mod--not to correct inadequate gameplay features, but to adjust the challenge.

EA seems to give you a game, and in the process with 08 demo.. they give you sliders already to mess with 'in case' you arent happy with it the way they want it. In EA I cant adjust the horrible checking detection system, or the fact the puck rockets off the stick no matter what type of shot I'm doing.

Sliders seem to help when you have a correct style of game, EA seems to need an overhaul, not an addition of sliders. huh?

I don't EA Hockey needs an overhaul,NHL 08 is the best hockey game EA has ever released. Is it perfect? No not even close, but it is fun that's for sure.I would love to see more sliders in EA's game though. It's definately one thing that makes ALL of 2K's sports games great is the deep ability to customize your gameplay.I would like to see even more on the hockey games though.
