Well thanks for the info, but if they dont release it the next couple of days, who cares! The game is out in a week, so I think the demo shouldve been out by now! I guess I will play 2k7 for now till the actual game comes out :)

I agree,but I will try 2K8 anyways,just because I'm getting kind of bored with the 08 demo.Besides I wanna see how good the game looks on my 51 inch High Def TV and get use to the new controls as well.

will not be playing the demo. sooo close to release that it will be frustrating not to see the whole thing. 6 days until its in stores. muhahahaha.

although, my first franchise will have to be replaced once they update the rosters with the rookies in Oct/Nov. must have N Backstrom on my Caps team!

Yea they really should release it soon. Some folks can't afford to buy both 2k8 and 08 and there are those of us who would like to actually TRY 2k8 out first, hence demo. :)

The demo will be out TOMORROW , THURSDAY , 9/6.
How do I know? Because they normaly update the PS Store and XBOX Live Market place on Thursdays. Just like they added NHL 08 last week to Xbox.
If the demo isnt out by tomorrow, then they might as well shove it. Who needs a ஈucking demo after the game is out!?

I think 08 came out friday.. i could be dyslexic. But your right its not even worth putting the demo out any later than tomorrow. I'm getting the game anyways but I want to play it before I have class and homework all day tomorrow... weak

FlatOut UC was just added today and Blazing Angels 2 was removed from the 'New Arrivals' section, so its likely that they could simply add it whenever they feel compelled to.

You are forgetting that N.America isn't the whole world. There's a bunch of europeans waiting for 2k8 demo just to compare it with 08. At least 08 will be released here this month, 2k8 is probably arriving at the end of Oct. Although it wouldn't be the first time that they'd delay the release here. Why bother to sell the game to europeans, they can buy the competitor's product instead. ;)

On another topic, most Europeans that do play NHL games come either from the Nordic countries or Germany. EA has long won these countries loyalty, by including some of the best european leagues teams and rosters in their NHL games. 2k games hadnt had much success over in Europe just the same way that Face Off series from Sony never got the attention they deserved.

IMO the Face-Off/Gretzky games suck. The ONLY cool thing about it (at least on the PSP) was they had the Sharks skate out through the Sharks head.

I have been a diehard 2k fan for years...at first I didn't think much of 2k7 but the depth won me over and I love it...and I hated the skill stick on NHL07...but after playing the NHL08 demo I am pretty damn impressed...the game feels more like real hockey finally. I am really worried about what I read about 2k8...the control scheme sounds wacked with bumper to pass and shoot, yet still having the modifier on the left trigger and speed burst on the right, so Imagine modifying the shot...hold left trigger while pressing right bumper, while aiming and speed bursting?

They do really need to get that demo out, because for the first time in years I am going NHL route instead of 2k7, especially if I can't try 2k8...

The last EA hockey game I had played was 2004. It ****ed me off big time because it was so unrealistic. After that I didn't even look at EA's newest NHL games.

A few days ago I did download the 08 demo anyway (mainly because 2K still hasn't released a new demo..). I must say that I was very surprised by the 08 demo. The skillstick feature impressed me. It was enjoyable to control the game with the defensemen from the line etc. It was WAY more realistic than usual.

This year it will be close if I'll get NHL 08 or NHL 2K8. They need to put out the 2K demo already......!
