The JFL just kicked off week 3 and things are going well.

We have a few unplayed games but I know the guys are active and just having a hard time scheduling. That and one of us is out of the country!

I'm really proud of our league and the guys I have and want to show them off. I also just revamped the league site with new graphic designs. The MVPs are looking pretty sharp now.

So if you have a moment browse the online leagues and check us out.

Search: "JFL"

Here's a look at our MVPs for Week 2...

(This is the Top Story and MVP graphics below. We have three awards a week: Offensive MVP; Defensive MVP; and "Scrub of the Week" which is given to the best generic player of the week! LOL)

Here we are... already in week 3. That means it's MVP time!

I'm sporting a new look for the site. I had some time to work on these MVP Awards and decided to make a nice template for the MVPs. I'm pretty happy with it. What do you guys think?

This week was not as complicated as week1 where we had 3 offensive MVPs. This week we only have 1 for each award.

First the Defensive MVP goes to the Yonker's Knight's Terry McDaniel who had 3 interceptions to help his team beat the Minneapolis Legends 34-21. At first I thought the same guy who won the defensive MVP in week 1 got it again... but then I realized this is the Knights OTHER corner!!! So two weeks into the season and the Knights have won both Defensive MVP awards with cornerbacks who had 3 interceptions. I guess if you play the Knights you better have a ground game.

The Offensive MVP goes to Earl Campbell of the Greensboro Bolts. He rushed for 266 yards and 5.... no that is not a typo...5 Tds!!! They needed it though to beat the Assassins 59-56. This is the second week in a row the Assassins have lost a game even though they scored 50 points. Someone PLEASE sit down with Moss and teach him how to play some D!!! If he could just stop his opponents once a half he could be a force to reckon with. LOL

Now it's the SCRUB of the WEEK time. It goes to the Dover Black Death's Marcel Flory... a DE who had 2 sacks in Dover's win over the Dayton Demons 31-24. It's SO hard to make the screen shots of the scrubs. I have to figure out the number they wear and then customize the team until someone at the right position gets the number. THEN I still do not know his skin color! So unless someone tells me that info I have to guess. This week the Scrub is sporting a nice shade of tan. So if he is white then maybe he just has a good tan in the photo. :)

We also had an article about some of the Legends being "Super Human". This is our Super Human version of Earl Campbell I posted with the story. :) He's a combination of a Super Heroe and old Earl himself.

C'mon Bends did you look @ all the stats before you chose Week 2 MVP. Cause if you did how could you miss Natrone Means Stats for week#2:

Natrone Means 19 att for 173 yds & 4 TD'S/4 rec for 100 yds & 1 TD. Clearly had a better day than Earl Campbell & the Ryders won the game....

Man BIGJoe you're right!!! I did see his rushing stats but I did not think to look to see how he did recieving. Looks like I need to update the MVP list. I can't take it away from Campbell but we can have Co-MVPs.

Co MVP'S would be good. Now that he'll be honored he'll get the MADDEN COVER JINX & S-U-C-K the rest of the season...

This League does look pretty good. Too bad it is too late to join. Maybe next season.

We are considering expanding once seaon 8, our next season, starts. Right now we have a solid number of guys and wanted to keep it smaller to get the feel of the game. Next season we should have everything worked out and be ready to take on a few more players.

I would like to be added to the waiting list. BFJ can vouch for my style of play. It looks like a very active league.
