Okay, I have seen numorous complaints about getting poor feedback, playing cheaters, and going through nothing but bad players. However, the team at VC has given users plenty of ways to scout your opponents. The best way to get the better game, is to follow by these simple "rules" and you'll have a whole friend's list of good players in a matter of time. I know these work because in the 2K6 series, I held 100% FB after 200 games. In 2K7, I held a 98% after 250 games, and I currently have 100% in APF after 40 games. I generally remain around .500 in my records, so it's not like I lose all the time.
- Check peoples records. If someone is 200-5-30-40, more than likely they use drop cheats or simply quit when losing. These guys generally give poor feedback. Some may have great feedback because they freeze games. So if you see someone with over 200 games and only 35 FB ratings, they'll probably cheat you. Play those who look to have legit records with minimal quits and drops.
- Of course, check their feedback. You generally will get good games when playing users with good feedback. Make sure their record looks legit (under your own opinion).
- Check the smiley face. Many people don't know what the faces mean, but this is the saving grace of your feedback. The smiley faces tell you what that FB that user generally gives others. If someone has a yellow or red face, that means they generally give nuetral or negative FB ratings. Green faces mean they generally give positive ratings. If you want a more detailed listing, you can check the "2K Rating" and go to "Rating History" to see exactly what ratings they gave and who they gave them to.
- I would suggest playing users with a mic. When used in coupled with the previous mentionings, you'll play against some cool people. It's easy to simply say "What's up" at the team select screen and get a read on the type of opponent with that simple question. You don't have to chat, but that one answer does speak a lot. Trust me.
Try this, and you'll have a much better online experience.
