my favorite TE stopping play is "Cover 3 Dog T" out of the 3-4. If I face a good silver or gold TE, you better believe I am running this early and often. The play mans up the SS or FS on the TE and runs a cover 3 all around that. Not only does it give the TE problems, it ALSO puts 8 in the box which is awesome against the run! Check it out!

have a good OLB that you manually controll in zone coverage. But while everyone else is in there zone (ex: cover 3) you play man on the TE. That way you contain him and most likely there will be someone in a zone where he is going.

The Cover 4 play (4-3) where the SS drops into underneath Coverage, but 3 Dog T works well, and double team them also. SOmetimes I make teams where I get Ronnie Lott or Joey Browner and sub them at OLB so they are on the TE and that works pretty well.

3-3 cover 2 soft. Manually double team the te with the blitzing lb and another lb. Your corner should take away the out, your saftefty will take care of the corner that every person does every other play and your 2 lb's will handle the slants/posts. U better watch out for the rb flats though.
