How to play as secondary?

With the auto-strafing feature turned on during lobby games, how do most people on here play as the secondary during online? I love using McDaniel to get the INT but I find myself back-peddaling when i should be in a full sprint?

How do I work this auto-strafe thing?

just press the right trigger as soon as the play starts and it will turn auto-strafe off for that play

I thought auto-strafe was already turned off in Online play. Still turned on in offline play.

They didn't turn it off for the PS3 ..... only the 360. I still don't know why that is the case.

90% of the time I press R2 as the play begins to turn it off, like the dude above said.

But, it doesn't always work like that because here's what I find happens:

I start running fast and it sometimes automatically switches me to run mode before I press R2, then I press it and it goes back to strafe mode. Pretty annoying.

usually if i'm in strafe mode, i just click RT and i'll come straight out of it, into run mode, but i have experienced what u are saying, just not that often

Wow, okay I'll give that a shot. Nothing is more annoying than getting burned downfield by a generic and have him snap off a 50 yard play because you were running backwards...
