Ok fellas after playing the demo its plain to see that im going for 2k again in basketball. IVe decided to try and form up a couple leagues again this year.
SIM LEAGUE RULES
OFFENSIVE
1. Use the whole court. (don't just shoot threes or try and drive to the hole the entire game.)
2. No Full court passes. (Of course at the end of a game if you dont have any T.O's its expected.)
3. No Non Stop Isomotion to try and get loose
4. No every mid range shot you attempt being a bank shot (they seem to have fixed how well this worked but its still very unsim to try and do this with every shot.
5. No one man shows. (we all love our starts but if you cant utilize your full team then this isn't the league for you.
6. No running around and trying to force yourself into the hole like a chicken with its head cut off. (2k seems to have stopped this pretty well with making the player pick up his dribble or losing control of the ball but this is still a needed rule imo.)
Play Ball like you would see it in the NBA. If You don't follow these rules and by how you see it in real life you will be removed after 2 complains period.
DEFENSE
1. No stealing inbound passes. (there will be a "Safe" zone. when inounding after a basket anything before the free throw line extended is a safe zone to inbound the ball. On Side inbounds in the backcourt anything on that half is a "safe" zone. when inbounding in the frontcourt from the side anything outside the top of the three line extended is a safe zone.)
2. No full court press. (You may pressure the ball carrier with a single player preferably with the player who guards him ie SG on SG)
3. Full court press IS ALLOWED the last 3 mins of the 4th quarter if your down by more then 3. The final 24 seconds of a game is a free for all if your down. IF your up you may only full court if your up by 3 or less with 30 sec or less remaining on the clock. During the full court allowed times you are also allowed to try and steal inbounds, BUT the only way you may do so is by intercepting a pass not by playing the inbound player and reaching in non stop to try and knock the ball as soon as he passes.
4. YOU MUST PLAY ON BALL D!!!
5. No non-stop Double teams. You are allowed to double a post player as much as you want if he is within a couple of feet of the key no double teaming the PF or C everytime he touches the ball just because hes probably a poor ball handler.
6. No Non-stop reaching in or jumping around the court to try and steal passes. ( now if someone is throwing long passes from their point once they inbound the ball and trying to get it to their center or pf who might be down low early then your free to do so but none of that just jumping around and eaching around to try and steal 5 foot passes.
MISC RULES
1. Be respectful to your opponent. No little kid trash talking i want this to be a mature players league where we can all have fun and enjoy a basketball game.
2. No running up the score if your up by 20 slow it down shoot more jump shots and bring in your bench players.
3. NO QUITTING!!!
4. No leaving neg feedback period were all supposed to be sim players and mature positive should be the only feedback being left. If you have a problem with someone then let me know.
This will be a 32 games and probably 8-12 teams.
If i get a lot of interest form people then i will create a 2nd league of the same and then a 3rd of the 2 combined.
Oh the winner of the playoffs will get 1600 MS points or whatever the 20 dollar package is.
